At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

One Step Closer to the Edge and I’m About to Break  |
_________________________________________________________________________ A strong wind was blowing through the territory that the young wolf was now a part of. Mezic was thrilled that he had been accepted into a pack all on his own. He had left his home for adventure and already found a pack for himself. The russet wolf enjoyed feeling the wind stir his pelt as he wandered aimlessly through the lands. Time to explore somewhere new, the young brute thought to himself as he walked out of the packs territory. He let his large paws lead him wherever they felt like going, not paying much attention to where he was going. The young wolf ran through the trees, feeling brambles and branches snag through his pelt as he ran through a particularly thick area of the forest. Mezic had yet to explore this area and had no idea what to expect, whether wolves traveled through this area often and if he would see anyone new or not. He hoped to run into someone new as the wolves he had met in his pack were not very talkative and he longed to meet someone new that he could chat with. After slowing his run to a trot a new sound came to Mezic’s auds. Sounds like a waterfall or stream, he thought. That made him quicken his pace, anxious to see what was ahead of him. Mezic was still at the young age where he was curious about everything and always wanted to explore. Mezic pushed through the trees and did indeed find a small fall. He walked over to the water, letting his front paws enter the cool water of the stream, enjoying the cool feeling that swept throughout his body. He put his head down to lap at the cool refreshing water, not paying much attention to the area around him. ________________________________________________________________________ |
