It's amazing how a place to call home could change your life. As a matter of fact, it could be utterly altering on any perception once you finally are allowed to grab hold of such a title. She could feel it deep down within her soul, that only mere seconds after her paw touched the dirt inside the domain, she could feel the void close. Those few heartbeats of her taking in the beautiful landscape and catching the complete peaceful aura of Bright Moon settled her insides from her nervousness of rejections. The aroma of the domain racked pleasant chills down her spine. Her packmate's scents traveled to her nose, letting her faintly recognize Venga's perfume, recent enough to let her know she's been taking over border control-such a lovely gal. The next recognition was none other than her King's faint cologne. Ambrosia breathed it in, letting it settle over her, and for a split second, she let herself smile. However, as soon as the irritating emotion drifted from her mind, the obsidian beta's bodice tensed with a new one. Guilt. The sensation fell hard upon her shoulders, and remained there, causing her smile to immediately fade. A whimper hung in the back of her throat; Ambrosia had let her pack down. She had disobeyed the oath taken when she had been promoted to second in command, and went away without any warning for quite some time.
The sad thing being is that she didn't really even have a reason.
The conscience-stricken maiden traveled farther into her home, her shoulders and head slumped lightly as she contemplated on just exactly what she was going to say..and then it hit her. Why was the badass Ambrosia fretting over what other people thought? Sure, she'd left for a while, but at least she had come back right? Wasn't that what mattered? Immediately the ebony warrior's head picked up and she straightened her stance, all the while feeling like she was in a dramatic scene in a movie. Her confidence level spiked, and her satellites swiveled at the top of her cranium. After crossing the entire territory, she stopped by her favorite place; the pond within the borders, which held the soft sound of trickling water as it drained into a stream on the opposite end of where she sat. Lowering her crown, Ambrosia lapped at the water, listening to the bird's sing reassuring songs into her mind. Unfortunately, her moment of pure serenity was shattered by an echoing howl that went throughout the year.
Alertness and automatic reaction shot her head up from the pond's edge, water dripping from her muzzle as her emerald oculurs searched the perimeter, pinpointing the direction in which it was coming from. The beta couldn't tell if she was annoyed or greatfull that the howl had interrupted her guilty thoughts, but either way she was on her way at a steady lope towards the stranger. The wind blew into her face, pushing against her, and Ambrosia knew she definitely had the advantage of surprise on her side. A gust of air brought the cologne of the male towards her dark-hued frame just as he came into sight. Stopping behind a few bushes, she remained in the shadows, her ebony pelt melting in with the colors. The silver sat patiently at the borders, waiting for a kind soul to come across him on border patrol. Well, he got a soul. Sizing him up, Ambrosia realized he was quite muscular, but she didn't doubt that she could take him on if he decided to protest. Stepping from the darkness, the obsidian femme trotted the rest of the distance to him. "Submit if you wish to enter. I'm Ambrosia, the beta. Tamlin is busy at the moment." Her voice was all velvet, but poisonous beneath the surface. Emerald gems stared at him, waiting for his next move.
