I paused, one snow-white ear flicking backwards at the sounds of movement within the den, smirk gracing my features in the knowledge that my orders were being obeyed. Good, they should be, after all I had authority in this situation and if I had my way I’d drag little miss trespasser back to the border kicking and screaming for all I cared. You don’t just get into the City of Angels that easily. We have standards. I chuckled to myself, apparently a fan of my own humour before allowing my opalescent gaze to peer back into the gloom, waiting for Tenshi to detangle himself from his lover or whatever the hell they were and drag himself out here to speak to me. What I was not expecting was some red-coloured little thing to come flying out of the den at all speed to stand before me. Even then, I probably wouldn’t have minded her irritation, wouldn’t have even minded her bold words if not for the fact she made the very, very poor decision to raise her head and tail in some perception of dominance in front of me.

I’d like to say I’m an even tempered guy, that such things would hardly be given to bother me and yet- that would be a complete lie. I have the worst temperament of any wolf in this whole damn pack and I am fairly sure, by the willingness of Tenshi to come to her side that such a fact is well known. I blame my parents, actually, I just blame my Father. Everyone says I am his image, that my temperament and mannerisms are a replica of his own, that I simply just lack the charm he coats over it to hide it, my mothers blatant emotional honesty seeming to have afflicted me as well, creating the worst combination possible. I am ridiculously aggressive and have no ability to stop myself. Maybe that’s why I got made Queens Guard in the first place, my need to protect what I perceive is mine, my inability to not see a situation through. Either that or Isola thought it would be funny to see me chasing terrified wolves about all day. Either way, Little Miss here apparently has a death wish. Maybe she is a loner, maybe she isn’t from around here but Pack law is absolute, trespassing is one thing, a forgivable offence and really I hadn’t had any intention of doing anything about it save ranting at Tenshi for a bit….but this? Displaying dominance in a pack land, in front of a pack wolf who out ranks her and her mate or whatever he is might well be the very last thing she ever does.

Lips peeled back with instantaneous violence from my lips, sizeable white fangs gleaming in the fading light as I easily rose to my feet once more, lifting myself to my full height, standing above her, over her as I stepped forward with a snarl once more simmering between my lips as my tail lashed in agitation before lifting itself in the same high manner as my head. Higher then her- over her, every part of my body clearly displaying her place- beneath me. What sort of a foolish female tries that behaviour in a pack? To a male so much larger then she? Tenshi moved to place himself close by his little friend, the smirk he offered her hardly unnoticed and along with the words he offered. The matter of Andromeda was still a rather…sore point, of all the things in this life I am given to feel about she is perhaps the most significant, she is everything, I live and breathe for her and the fact that I’d brought her to Diveen in some attempts at secrecy, only to be ruined by Ava who had now apparently told this little whelp, was a matter I was still not entirely at peace with. If the secret had been kept a secret like it should have been, hell, maybe she wouldn’t have been kidnapped, maybe that whole fiasco wouldn’t have happened. In other words, Andromeda and her arrival here, as well as most other things regarding her are MY concern, nobody else’s, his words grating against me far more then I believe he was aware they would- he brought it on himself. The only warning I felt content to give was a momentary spike in the snarl the curled within my throat, teeth suddenly and sharply thrown towards him, snapping at his shoulder and the side of his neck, fully intending to bite him if I could get a hold, though it was more a warning bite than anything else, not a full attempt at mauling him- just a reminder to mind his manners- before I withdrew.

"Why don’t you just keep quiet about things you know nothing about? In other words. Shut it- Tenshi."

I returned my attention to the female once more, the one who sought to enrage my already poor temperament, violet blue eyes falling against her. At least she had courage I suppose, Tenshi apparently having a good choice in imprint in that regard, though truly I had half a mind to snap at her for her disrespect as well. She was an imprint though……and that limits what I can do, at least in front of Tenshi, since his soul is bound to hers and he is Pack, by some extension it already makes her pack and yet without formal acceptance from some capable of doing that….someone like say….me…..I was entirely within my right to act as I did. Having allowed some of my irritation out on the boy I met her gaze once more, my own form still dominant, still demanding submission from her.

"I am the guardian of this pack, it is my job- Little Girl and you can damn well respect it or I will drag you back to where you came from. You don’t ask for my imput you just get told and until you outrank me you can just deal with that. Now, you want to stay? Submit- and you can."

Maybe one day she will outrank me and come seeking her revenge for tonight- but I doubt it. I am brother to the Alpha, this is my pack, my land and my job and she should respect it, will respect it, or she’s not staying here…..maybe I haven’t attacked her yet, but my patience is very, very thin.
