As much as she enjoyed the solitude and the security that the peak offered her, she had imagined some nights that it would be nice to have someone, even several someones to share it with. The allure of the mountain and the clouds that hung so close to the very tip of it was more than enough to keep the painted mare attracted to her new home, and she had worked so hard to find friends that would be more than willing to appreciate the view with her.

She only feared that the lone mare she had managed to rescue from the plighted grip of the greedy stallion had managed to find her way somewhere safely, and that the poor woman had not been intercepted by another vile beast on her way home.

The thought of her previous battle makes her subconciously shift her weight, stooping her head a bit to rub her soft nose against her shoulder where the bruises were still a little tender but the swelling, that had arisen shortly after the battle, had disappeared. The idea of there once being others on the mountain is a reassuring one, and to know that Irvosat was not truly alone in appreciating the fantastic view offered by the mountain or the shelter to be found in the trees that nestled around the nooks and crannies of the mountain is of comfort to her. “Maybe everyone will come back eventually... the mountain is forgiving.”

The painted mare speaks like the peak had a personality, and perhaps it did. With rocks that sometimes jut violently out into the sky, pointing to the heavens and threatening to shatter bones and eat lives were not truly a downside to their kingdom in the clouds, but a familiar sight to the woman whenever she returned from the lower part of the island. Irvosat found that the water was cooler here and the grass sparse but green and sweet, so it felt more like a haven than a burden to live here. “I met a woman near the falls down below. I think she will be joining me-” She pauses to think for a moment. “-joining us, I mean.” She had been alone for so long, that the concept of sharing the rocky land with someone else is new to her.

It was a thought she had to get used to.
