Exhaustion racked the femme's body; she hadn't slept for a while now. Her dreams taunted and chased her at every turn, leaving her two options: To either wake every single night with a scream in her throat, or to simply not sleep at all. Blaze had chosen the latter. Though the ebony girl was well aware she couldn't keep this up for longer, she would try her hardest. The way her nightmares worked was far worse than the tiredness, tugging and pulling on her heart, mind and sanity. Blaze herself was pretty sure she was losing said sanity slowly and painfully. Still, there was no need to drag anyone else into her own personal hell-hole, and so she kept a smile on her face.
Just as the girl had collapsed, eyelid's fluttering to a weak close, a single howl chased away the advancing demons. Shaking her head free of their grip, she rose once more to unsteady paws, a small tremor rocking her body. Then, she was off, one weary step after another. The logical part of her argued that she should leave some other wolf to deal with whoever was on the border; if they were hostile, she wasn't going to do much good in a fight. However, the interaction would aid her prolonged resistance to sleep, so she trekked on, only occasionally tripping over her own paws.
Blaze scented the girl long before she saw her, causing the femme to stop for a few seconds. Licking her shoulders briefly to make her fur look a little more well-kept, and allowed a mask of friendly intents to slip over her features. No one would ever be able to guess the true extent of the female's current state, as she stepped silently out of the bushes, smile on her kissers and a faint light in her eyes. "Hello, and welcome to Bright Moon. I'm Blaze. Your name and business, please?"
The girl took a seat on her side of the border, facing the new comer. Blaze's words were kept polite, but there was always the undertone that the details she asked were important. She'd caught the faint scent of Abentrot and Cold Summers not too long ago, and it had made her slightly more wary than she had been previously. It was all well and good to be kind, but she wouldn't prioritize such pleasantries above the safety of the pack.
