aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

.:Silent Ends:.

Chiron was feeling so many feelings at once; happy, scared, nervous, confused and maybe in love! Goodness what had the day come to? Starting out with accepting a new girl and then he met Chenzii and now they were on a walk, stroll or whatever you wanted to call it. It was a pleasurable experience getting to know the girl, her past was depressing but seeing how she came out to be such a kind character made him wonder if she’d be different had it not happened; he knew he would be a changed lupine if his past had been different. But walking through the forest reminded him that for all the bad things that came there was more good to come from it; for if there were no bad experiences there would be no good things to come.

The walk was peaceful even with their backgrounds revealed in this open place. Chiron looked at Chenzii as they weaved through the undergrowth; he side stepped closer and she did too and their pelts came closer than before; it felt like electricity running through his veins and a shiver ran down his spine. A smile crossed his face but made its home there and stayed. He’d never smiled so much in his entire life; he was smiling more today than he had in the last week! His arrival here at the pack was welcomed back and his activity was helping him get to know more wolves and especially Chenzii.

Chenzii’s story was sad but she had found her brother and that was a sign that at least one had escaped and she had relation and her family lived on through them. Her comfort around him only enhanced his feelings, he knew she was somewhat in the same mind as him, but there were still boundaries. They weren’t mates. His smile became more comforting towards and his shoulder was tingling from where he nudged her. Most of this was new to Chiron and so he could only do what instinct told him.

Chenzii was shocked by his past as he had expected but there wasn’t a sign of fear. She was seemingly sad and upset by his past, Chenzii I— Her muzzle was pressed into his neck, a warm feeling spread through his body like wild fire. He turned his head to return the favor but she pulled away. She must have thought she was being invasive but he wanted her closer to him; her black fur mingling with his multihued coat. Chiron turned his head towards her his grey eyes searching hers for a second trying to see what she meant but he quickly returned back to normal and smiled at her.

They only moved in silence for a few moments, “There is nothing wrong with you Chiron. Many wolves have had terrible pasts, and this one was not your fault. You did the right thing. By killing that awful alpha you probably stopped that brutal tradition and saved many lives in the process. You had adequate reason to kill; you killed to protect others, a noble deed. And you are very different from this alpha, you did not enjoy killing another wolf as he did, that is the difference that will ensure that you will not become him. I will help make sure that you never become him.” Chenzii’s eyes looked in his offering comfort, almost saying there was nothing wrong with him. Chiron nodded his head understanding her words, she offered her help. With her around he knew that he wouldn’t become like that. That was understood and he hoped her wouldn’t lose her.

Chiron became momentarily blinded by the dying light; the setting sun was before them sitting on the horizon. The night was coming and so sleep was to soon follow but they had some time to buy in the twilight hours and the Aurora Borealis was to show tonight. Chiron looked over at Chenzii her fur gleamed in the dying light. He trotted ahead of her and flicked his tail on her shoulder, You’re it! With a last smirk he took off but staying within sight of her. He wanted to lighten the mood and though it seemed childish it was still fun.
