At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

If you are not yourself, then who are you?

The taste of the falls sent the ess backward, surprised by how wonderful it slipped down her throat. It was marvelous, and the fae treasured it. She lowered herself to the ground, and reached back to where the bramble has snagged her pelt. A small amount of fur was torn off, but she really didn’t mind. She moved her emerald gaze back to the water at her feet. It shined brightly as the sun lit it up with its rays. She wrapped her tail around her paws. Examining things when one was alone always gave away different results. A flash of golden flickered in the water, and she saw a fish swim downstream. She didn’t think it was deep enough for fish to swim through, but she guessed wrong. What surprised her though, was the voice at her back. “Hello there. I couldn't help but notice you laying here. It is a marvelous day, may I join you?"

The fae turned around; well, more like jumped when she heard the voice. The look on her face instantly vanished, however. Instead, it turned into a smile. “Hello. Of course, come sit. The weather is perfect for some conversation.” The ess raised herself to sit instead of lie down, wanting to stay within height and feel awkward on her belly. She turned her head toward him after looking at the water once more. “I don’t think I caught your name. I’m Cora.” Cora always wondered how other wolves thought of her name. If they knew of her, she always wondered what they would think when her name was mentioned when she was not around. She uncurled her tail from being tight around her paws and made it a light sort of semi-circle; she felt too snug when wrapped up around others.

Her green gaze drifted off towards the other side of the brook. “You seem to have been here longer than me; what is this place?” Her ears flickered in the wind as she waited, wondering what such a place would be called. The brute had light colored fur like hers, and the same green eyes. She laughed silently at how they both seemed alike. A breeze cut through the air, ruffling up the back of her fur so it parted in different sections. It was a cool breeze, one that didn’t stir those who felt it. She sighed and looked at the sky, awaiting the titian’s response. It was a warm summer day, and the ess knew it would stay that way. Shehe breeze backed at her pelt, reassuring her that she was safe and sound by the small river running downstream.

OOC-Sorry if this post is weird; still getting used to little old Cora
