Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Bah - why had she even expected him to understand? Hell, she'd always been pretty certain his head was all skull and no goddamn brain so why would coming back from the dead make him any different? He was still a brick wall with legs and a tail. It took him long enough to actually get mad, his hackles flying up like knives, and that was when she stopped, panting and growling quietly in frustration. She couldn't believe it - yes, she could believe her eyes but no, she could not believe the guts he had. No brains and all spine - pah! Maybe that was good if you wanted to be, she didn't know - a rock? - but not if he wanted her to stop berating him. Then, he started shouting as if they were in some kind of who-could-be-louder contest and if that was what he wanted, then he would get it.

"Yes, Cayen, get angry - get real mad! Because I'm so totally in the wrong, aren't I? Yes, how dare I be mad because you stroll in here and don't even bother looking for us - for me! I looked for you, you moron so don't try and make me feel bad. And what do you mean teacher? What'd she teach you, huh? To be stupid? 'Cause that's all I'm seeing here!"

She was loud, unruly and her words firing out like an AK-47. All the while, she stood entirely still, her body rigged and hackles lifted to the sky, brows furrowed in a dark scowl and teeth bared. She wanted to bite him, to tear him apart in frustration and so - she did. With a growl, she leapt forward once more, her paws aiming to slam into his chest - she wanted to pin him down beneath her, to stand over him and yet all she seemed to manage was pointless shoving. With a frustrated growl, she finally gave up, snorting loudly and flicking her tail in agitation. Fine, Cayen, have it your way.

"You should have had hope, that's what you should have done. Didn't anybody teach you that? What? You think we'd all just die so easily?"

She narrowed her eyes, snorting once more before she sat down with a huff, tucking her paws beneath her tail and looking off to the side with a scowl. Her left ear turned to face him, however, though she wore her displeasure in being told to do all too plainly.

"You're so stupid," is all she said in reference to her apparent deep running hatred. God, could he be more dumb? Were all males this stupid? Yeah, she didn't search for some boy she hated - she wouldn't have wasted her time. In her mind, Cayen had been her first friend - the first wolf who had challenged her, given her something to stride for. He'd forgotten that so easily?

"You don't understand anything, do you? Who do you think was looking after Zeivah when she came back? Why the hell do you think I went back that smoldering ruin that was Trenus after everything? To find you, you idiot. Because unlike you, I wanted to believe everybody was alive. I'm angry because I've spent the last three years thinking my friend was dead, and he doesn't even bother trying to find me."

There. Happy?
