Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Of course she knew of her Swallowbane's worries, his concern for his mother but still, some part of her hoped she could.. busy him, take his mind away from such thoughts. She remembered, still, how much her heart had broken and fallen apart at the loss of her own mother - the endless worrying, endless nights spent awake or waking in a panic. It was awful and she wished for him to no longer endure such emotional torment. Why would she not simply return? Had they all done something wrong to chase her away from the land she had fought so hard for? Calista did not appreciate such a dark thought invading her mind and was more than thankful at her beloved's seemingly eager response to her - at least he was happy today, so much happier than she had seen him in many moons. She liked it. She liked his smile, the way he dashed after her. How long would she have to work until she could see such a thing every day of her life? Then again, perhaps she was okay with fighting every day to see such a thing. It was more than worth it.

They darted and dashed, bouncing through the snow as lovers did - she kept herself close enough to taunt but far enough way that she would be a challenge to catch. She'd never been so tall, or so strong, but she'd always been fast, designed so it seemed to play among the white winter. She giggled, airy and girlish as she continued such a game, twirling and flopping about as a fox would - it was more fun than she had imagined, her own singing boy running so comically. He was perfect and even with paws that did not quite listen, he made such a gawky run seem so... wonderful.

"It is you that can be slowing me down," she giggled, once more bursting away from him at the last second before pivoting to face him - she fell into the snow and into a play bow, tail waving ecstatically as her tongue lolled out, "if you is just asking."

And with that, she darted forward, aiming her small body into a tackle designed to allow her legs to grab around his neck, her muzzle to find his own to cover with affectionate licks. She would do so for as long as she could, awkwardly balanced and leaning against him, eyes closed as she simply enjoyed the sudden closeness, the warmth of him against herself. It was wonderful, absolutely and undeniably fantastic - why could it not be like this day forever? She wanted to share so much more with him, every part of her life and the world around them. Perhaps that was why fate tore each day from them, so that she was forced to do so. She liked the sound of that, actually. Each new day spent with him, finding new things about it all. She sighed, completely content as she released her grip and bounced back onto all fours.

"What is it you is wanting most in the world, my Bane? I want to see you smile each day, yes."
