Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

It was strange really, how two wolves could be so similar, yet so different. This encounter would serve to mystify the girl silently for moons to come. They both had things they had to lock up deep inside of them in order to pass as acceptable to others, and it infuriated her. Why. Why should they have to be caged, to have to change? Many years later and the russet femme still hadn't found the answer. Ironic to say the least.

”To be honest Aerten I’m not at all sure of that answer. I love exploring but I love my family. I have stayed in Saw Tooth this long because my mother wouldn't have been able to cope with another disappearance.” Once again a frown crossed her features. Dib sounded like she was caught in a catch twenty-two. She wanted to leave, but couldn't do so without destroying one who she cared about most. Ouch. With things like this, Aerten was silently glad she didn't have any family to pull at her already tightened shackles. It'd just hurt even more. ”I guess I will just have to see how things pan out. You never know where the wind may take you. You just have to be patience and wait for fate to pick you up and provide you with opportunities.” She returned the girl's smile, following her gaze to what she assumed was Dib's pack. It looked strangely peaceful, untouched by time. "Things will work out," she told the girl with newfound certainty in her voice. They would.

”I guess you are extremely loyal to Abendrot and so I won’t ask you about leaving, but have you got any plans within your pack. I mean, I’m sure you would do well with a title... If you haven’t already been given one.” Now, she hesitated, a mixture of her own words, and words that were not hers, racing through her head. "Even if I wasn't loyal -which I am- leaving Abentrot is a incredibly stupid idea." She felt the need to provide Dib with that information, hoping it might be of use to her one day. The other russet ess could probably gather why. "I don't know what I plan to do; I find plans rarely work out how you intended them too." Right now, she felt slightly guilty at the thought of getting a rank. Aerten knew for a fact that the unsteady peace they had now wouldn't last for ever, and she found herself once again wondering if she would be forced to spill the girl's blood in the future, with was looking more darkby the second.
