At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Deformed Diva

Blindness had only enhanced Dai's ear and sense of smell, so she knew the other wolf was coming long before he spoke. So she was already slinking through the blur of forest around her in search of a better hideout.

The voice was gentle and sympathetic, but Dai growled in the back of her throat at the brute, wherever he was. It was a horrid, strangled sound, but it was as threatening as she got nowadays, despite the uncaring, kill-me-now quality. But suddenly her fur snagged on some nearby brush, and it only tangled more as she struggled. Eventually, she tore herself free, barely so much as wincing as she felt the flesh tear. It was simply another pain, and with out the fur to protect it, and other infection waiting to happen.

An open wound only make her seem worse off, and she needed anything but sympathy. That led to others trying to help her with things that could not be helped, and that only turned to more hatred and disgust. Dai almost preferred the ones who found her disturbing from the beginning; they were easier to run away from.

Dai spun cautiously, searching for darkness before choosing a random direction that would lead her towards the dark blurs that meant tress, and limping off as fast as she could. She eventually felt the soft prickle of a bush against her side, and turned into it, surrounding herself in the branches.

She kept her auds perked until she recognized the identical rhythm of footfalls from earlier and sighed.

"Please, j-just l-leave me... You don't want to see me
Her voice rang true, sweet and high, but twisted with pain and sorrow. And she almost cursed herself, she was only luring this, well, whoever they were, to her, not sending them away. So she lowered herself down, curling around the center of the bush and hiding beneath its leaves.
