aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Hellene’s nares flare as she comes upon a large group of lupines within the pack grounds – there is a large black brute that has quite the presence, though not as much presence as Kalgalath, who was also present. There was a black fae also, and then a bunch of pups. Hellene considered passing them by, not wanting to anger the mottled grey brute once more. But then her false-sense of confidence kicked in. If she couldn’t truly feel self-assure, then she would fake it until it was real. Besides, Kalgalath had told her that she needed to earn his trust. Surely engaging with the other pack members would be a good place to start? Already, Hellene had been trying to befriend Leila, and that had been going well. Slowly, and as calmly as she could, she approached the wolves respectively, her tail lowered and her gaze turned downward toward the earth. Her pads landed softly on the soil, each step leaving a pawprint. Finally, she reached the group and she chose to place herself near some of the pups and as far away from the Alpha as she could – he was the most intimidating wolves that she had ever met, and though Leila had assured her that Kalgalath was kind at heart, he frightened her. But she understood why – he had good reason to do so. She could only hope that one day he would see that her loyalties were to this pack now, and it was this pack that she would call home.

Hellene curled her grey and russet plume around her paws and raised her gaze to meet first the black brute and then the femme. “Hello. My name is Hellene. I was just… accepted to the pack.” She kept her tone even and smooth, keeping all sense of attitude absent from her words. Her gaze then turned to the pups, her gaze softening and a smile laying upon her kissers. She had planted herself between a green-eyed snowy faeling and a light grey bruteling. “Hello little ones. What are your names?” She had had a great puphood, and had always been playful, especially since she had had a willing playmate – Athene – to protect her and save her when she had gotten herself into bad situations. For this reason, she always felt comfortable around them. Her gaze fell upon the third pup, the one that she was not located next to, and smiled at him as well, hoping to get to know their names. Though she would never have admitted it to her sister, she always wanted a bigger family. Athene had been sufficient. But now that she was gone… Hellene found herself lacking a family. Perhaps a pup would fill the gap.
