aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

The Way of the Warrior

As they waited for the bastard who had left him, the snowy titan felt the ebony fae’s gaze upon him, but he ignored it, his gaze searched through the dense thickets of trees that lined the entirety of the clearing that they now sat it, searching for the mottled grey brute that he knew would come. And then all of a sudden, he burst through the treeline, and Aindreas’ worst nightmares and best dream came true. Now was the moment when he could confront his previous mentor, find all of the answers to the questions that had been lingering in his mind for years on end. Why had he bothered to spend any time with Aindreas? How could he say the words he had said and then leave? Why did he leave? Where had he been? Why didn’t he take Aindreas with him? The sight of Kalgalath approaching him was the once that Aindreas had hoped to see for the rest of his puphood and teenage years after Kalgalath had left it. It had been the sight that he would never again see. Until now.

Kalgalath approached and got close to the duo, and Aindreas’ icy gaze glared at the larger brute angrily, his lids slitted. Magic…you found him. Aindreas… I can’t believe how grown up you are. A growl rumbled out from the snowy titan’s chest, angered by the condescending words that Kalgalath uttered. The tone wasn’t condescending, and perhaps the words weren’t either. But in his mind it was otherwise. Kalgalath had left him alone in the world. Kalgalath didn’t care about him. And yet the grey Alpha looked so happy to see him. It made no sense. Aindreas’ gaze didn’t flinch as the femme answered the brute. Hello Kal. Yes, I did. He wanted me to answer questions that I couldn’t answer, so I just thought of bringing him here. Aindreas scoffed at the fae’s words. “You bring me here? As if.” Aindreas focused upon Kalgalath once more, his lips raising, exposing his canines. “I came here to expose you for the fraud that you are Kalgalath. You preached loyalty to me and yet you left me high and dry without any words of farewell. You are a hypocrite and a bastard, a lupine unworthy of the title you now hold. I spit on the ground that you walk upon and regret the day that I ever met you.” His words being said, Aindreas sort of deflated, all of the pent up rage that had wallowed inside of him for years let loose. Though his monologue had been shorter than other lupines’ would have been, and his words perhaps not as cruel as some would have used, for Aindreas, it was significant, especially due to his lack of speaking in the past months. In the past years. The constant solidarity had done a number on his social skills, but his vocals were what had suffered the most.

His anger gone…what was left? Who was he without the anger? Where was he to go from here?
