Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

Kika's explanation reaches my ears in such a thoughtful tone, my cranium tilts in wonder. She sounds so invested in her answer and in dragging it up from the depths of her mind that she doesn't sound the least bit perturbed. If the same intimate question were turned on me, I would collapse. Then again, when I thought about it, the same question never had been asked to me. Maybe I would be stronger than to flail and break, but I strongly doubted it. No one really knew about my teen years except for the select few who had been here through them. Tamlin, for one. And, of course, Ambrosia. Sadly, that's all who remain of those moons past. I nod silently as Kika tells me of her own woes, though. When she finishes, there are few words that escape my maw. My tail flicks as I say them, a clear gesture. Welcome home, dear. I stand, stepping to the side of the lass, allowing her entrance to her new pack. A slight, uneven smile tugs at one side of my mouth as I watch her step into the lands.

I am about to walk away when my duo toned optics flick to Blaze, her quiet reply setting softly into my honey colored towers. Seeing the look on her face made them flick back unsure. I could see that something was eating at her. I let loose a small whine, just loud enough for her to hear. Come with me, Blaze. The hushed words were full of concern but had a bit of a hard edge. They weren't quite a command but they bordered on one. It's due time we got to know one another. I began to slowly stroll from the packlands, only hoping that the ebony ess would follow me. If she chose not to, I would be fine with that. I didn't blame her if she didn't want to spend time with me. But I really, really hoped she would come. It was clear that we both had our demons and perhaps it would be easier to deal with them if we had someone to share them with.

Then again, you know what they say, sometimes I wrestle with my demons and other times we just cuddle.

words.
