Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Once I had grasped the reality that I had lost my father, and chose to move past it, I knew that there was so much life to live. And it could not be lived hiding in the dark recesses of Diveen’s outermost caves. No, I needed to serve a purpose to Diveen as Acheron had to Trenus. I had to live up to my father’s legacy. And I could never hope to be half the wolf he had been if I didn’t get out there and do something.

So I roamed away from Diveen to the crater, moving down into the valley it created and heading east. It did not take long for me to come upon the large lake, and as spring began to break through winter’s clutches I approached the edge of the lake to drink its cool water. Lapping from the ice cold waters, I looked up as my head was lowere to the surface and spotted a small group of wolves across the way. Lifting my head I made a pointed decision to join them. If I was going to become a better wolf for Diveen, a more social being, why not dive in head first?

I jogged over to them, noticing the white wolfess laying the sand, the cream beast off on the edge of the area, a shewolf with her face turned to the sky, and two wolves that seemed entrapped in a personal conversation. I turned my attention back to the female lying in the sand and the one with her face turned to the sky. Tail wagging in greeting I jogged forward, a deep bark emitted in salutation, hoping I was welcome in the quiet gathering. “Good day,” I said to none of them in particular, but rather to all of them. My tone was pleasant ableit my naturally deep tenor. Glancing between each wolf I remained standing where I was, halfway between the white wolfess in the sand the male on the fringes, waiting for someone to return my greeting. It was then that I noticed two other wolves seperated from the group, one of black hues and one of grey, and I studied them for a moment until my attention was grasped by the light gray fae that basked her face in the sunlight – I found myself intrigued by her for reasons unknown. I shifted my weight upon my solid black stilts, glancing around the group once more and wondering who would take to conversation with me.
