Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

Having been ill for the past two weeks while her father was away, Sophie had grown slowly, and had missed out on the newcomers making their trek into Cold Summers territory. She had secluded herself away from her siblings, not brave enough to speak with them as she used to when she was but a pup. Even though she is now a young teen, Sophie has changed greatly. She is introverted and shy. Quiet and doubtful of herself. Now, as she trips over the border, she sees no point in living, rather-- she lives because it is doing something. Living keeps her moving. That's enough for her. It had been months since she was a youngling who crossed unknowingly over into Bright Moon territory... and with her strange grayscale cloak, she was singled out by those she met on other small adventures as the tall monster that no one wanted to play with. But Sophie did not feel sorry for herself. No, no, that is a vain act and the youngest royal heir of Cold Summers was far from vain. Though beautiful, she viewed herself as strange and could never make sense of why her siblings had their origin and sire's beautiful looks while she got the short end of the stick and turned out colorless.

Thunder grumbled in the atmosphere, threatening to pour again. It was raining a lot lately. Ever since she had stepped out of her sick den, Sophie had been rained on. Wasn't she told that summer was the season of sunshine and happiness? It seemed to be a rather brooding season actually... The pack meeting had even been held in an overcast setting. It was cold... Sophie stepped over the border and escaped into the lands beyond. Perhaps some fresh air that wasn't filled with her kins scents would be good for her. And the best smelling gales were coming in the direction that the wind was blowing away from. Rain stung her flesh as she made her way there, keeping her nape down and her head low to the ground so that she would not be windblown in the face. No sense in catching another cold. Charcoal pistons danced over the landscape, smooth and fluid-- unusual for a being of her age. As a princess, Sophie had watched her mother very closely despite being the one who often tripped and fell flat on her face. She had picked up on the secrets of graceful walking (though she was not exempt from the clumsiness that came with her father's genes).

When she finally raised her toffee portals, the ess found herself in a field of open space. Her pads sunk into the damp muck beneath her mass and she searched busily for shelter. Trees were scattered all around... and the closest one would lead her right through the foliage of all sorts of colors. She looked around, similar to how a doe would, wide-eyed, anxious, and expecting the worst... and when lightning illuminated the ever darkening sky, she trotted in the direction of the tree. The plump, summer leaves would shield her from the elements-- but she did not make any move to go underneath them. Instead, she slowed to a creeping halt and just stood, letting the rain soak into her pelt. She was feeling melancholic. But why? There was nothing wrong with her life the way it was... yet her heart told her that it wanted to be somewhere. Somewhere..? Where? She bit her lip and cast a quick stare up into the clouds...
