Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

restless: i found your weakness

When had been the last time she'd taken into consideration the feelings of another? Ishtar, she guessed, the day she'd announced the death of her one and only, Baphomet. And Paldor, too, when he had spoken of Duchess and whoever else lurked in his mind. Other than those two, though, she doubted she'd worried over the thoughts and feelings of another for so long. She no longer found herself fretting over Vague's tender heart or even the frail willed daughter, Ska. They were just.... ghosts, she thought. Bound to her but always just something she would see in the corner of her eye, a passing thought or a whisper in the corner of her dreams. That'd always been her though - selfish. Was it not selfish to believe that she deserved another, that she deserved her sins to be absolved so that she may continue living joyously? Perhaps her own selfishness is what had kept her awake all those nights - her own selfish desire to see that her waking hours were as pleasant as her sleeping ones.

His remark merely caused her to scoff in a brief chuckle, her head shaking slowly as she stood beside him. Too many things? She was hardly surprised. The man kept himself flustered far better than anybody else she'd ever met. Whether it be his ghosts or the bones and rocks he threw about - he was a master of it all the same. He was probably far more aware of it than she and in that case, she'd rather stay quiet on the matter.

"I think a walk sounds good," she replied, finally breaking into a small smile as she nudged her shoulder into him lightly. Yes, a walk sounded good - she wanted to show off her new found happiness to the outside world, really. Iromar had probably noticed her lack of dependency on Vague of late, now it was time to truly shed out of that skin.

With a small bound, she began to lead Paldor through the mists, her tail waving with joy behind her as they moved over the landscape. She'd forgotten all the dangers of the swamps, her mind entirely focused on getting them out of there - let the alligators know and let those who dwelt within their dens know, too, if they must. Ruvindra was happy and it felt like the first time in years. Not only had she been reintroduced to happiness by Fate, but she would have her son - Vidar - back in her life soon enough, too. All would be well if it were not already.

Or so she would have liked to think at least.

"I'll have you know," she began as the thickets began to form around them, the mists dissipating with them, "That this is where Iromar all began. Ten of us came here so long ago and on top of us, Iromar was built."

A bout of nostalgia, perhaps, when the world seemed to have so much to offer her. It was like that though - every time something joyous, momentous, occurred... something shut it off. She worried over it. She worried over Paldor. She did not want that part of her to be shut off - how much would she have to sacrifice for that?

She continued on, purposefully avoiding the exact location of Iromar's birthplace for far too many reasons; instead, she lead Paldor down the crater's edge where the thickets broke apart into flat, sparse terrain. Above them, the sky opened up in a terrific display of the late winter sky - the moon as full as ever, and the stars as plentiful as they could be. Even she could not help but marvel at them for some moments, coming to a halt and swaying ever so lightly. Tonight... she thought it would be a good night.

"Is there something on your mind? There always is."
