Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

She didn’t miss the grin teasing his face – but she knew it to be benevolent. Sleekwing wasn’t laughing at her misfortunes, or her question. She expected that he knew something about what was going on in her life, even if she hadn’t shared the details of her experience. He was perceptive, too. She liked that. She liked him. Maybe one day she’d tell him, but she suspected that he already knew.

Unfortunately I can’t give you a firsthand account…” So he hadn’t been through it personally, after all; then maybe he knew the legends too? She watched him quietly as he pressed on, spilling everything he knew, everything he’d heard, all that he had witnessed. It sounded very similar to what her parents had described, except for one detail: her mother had sworn that the female in these scenarios would feel the same. And she felt…what?

Betrayed? Let down? Violated?

She knew, in her heart, who she would choose for her imprint, even if she lacked the courage to consciously admit it to herself. Even so, everything began coming together in her quick mind. Dante had imprinted on her. There could be no doubt anymore. Lost in thought, her eyes had drifted to the stone beneath her paws, darting side to side as she fought the things that she knew to be true.

If Dante had imprinted on her, then there was no way to be rid of him without hurting him. Possibly, even, without hurting herself. She had become the pinnacle of his world, without her consent and without her knowledge, which put her in a position of responsibility. She could make him fly. She could make him the happiest any wolf could expect to be. But she was more likely to crush him – she had never been a girl who stayed.

It seemed to her that Dante needed to know these things. He needed to understand her if they were to coexist in this fashion. But could he? Blinded by something as powerful as imprinting (and she had seen firsthand how fiercely it had affected him), could he really be expected to accept that she needed space? Or that she might have feelings for someone else?

Her eyes widened involuntarily. For the first time, she allowed herself to think about those feelings. They brought her, ultimately, to his face. Sen. What would Dante do to Sen if he found out? What would Sen do? Possibly nothing. Had she overestimated their encounter? The idea made her sad. A distressed whine crept through her chest and she turned on Sleekwing again, her eyes dark with concern. “But he’s a demon,” she whispered. “What does that mean for me?
