The ebony girl had stumbled along behind her family, ears flattened slightly against her skull, and the shake barely kept out of her steps. Corde was scared; more than scared, she was terrified. Everywhere she looked, shadows laughed and taunted her, leaving her with images she knew were not real; not that they didn't horrify her anyway. There was always blood, so much blood. Screams. Darkness. Pain. Blinding white. The little girl wasn't exactly sure where it all came from, but it was still enough to scare her thoroughly.
Corde wasn't completely sure why they were fleeing either. And that's exactly what they were doing; running as though their lives depended on it. The ebony child thought it must've been something to do with the hideous monsters that haunted her every time she closed her eyes. She glanced across at her brother, Felan, as though seeking comfort from the other child. He wouldn't let anything big and scary get her, would he? No, not Felan. Never Felan. He had to be there for her, otherwise what did she equate to? Nothing.
"I didn't track Ryu's scent nearby, or father's. We may continue forward, unless you want to rest here for a bit." The little femme shuddered slightly. She was tired, but she didn't want to stop and become an easy target either. No, she'd continue on without protest. "Are you okay?" She whispered to her beloved brother softly, checking he was still safe by her side. The thought of him disappearing suddenly, dragged back to that...purgatory made her want to vomit. No; she wouldn't let anything hurt him either.
She remained silent after that, following which ever parent decided to lead the way now. She was still so young, so her input was invalid, and she still didn't understand the true extent of what she -they- were fleeing from. For now, the girl just kept her head down, and her ears perked. That was all she could possibly do to assist.
