At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

can you hear that wonderful sound?
The Ferris wheel has started, now we’re stuck going round and round…

The girl’s whisper came as no surprise; her wispy, ethereal voice was merely a reaffirmation of the timidity of her introverted form and anxious eyes. It was not an unseemly thing, though, for a voice to match its maker, and Carn felt comfortable in the presence of such a sound being, confident no tricks were in the other’s mind. At one time or another, it was wolves like this that had acted as something of a tease to Carnival. They knew no boundaries, threw up words they could not take back, and made the sweetest whimpers as she hunched over their torn throats. But she could tell; Yoki was different than her former prey. Though her entire demeanor was waterlogged, she made the effort to turn her head, and used the moments to choose her words carefully. The ebony wolf’s mind worked a mile a minute; it made Carn smile at the girl’s antics, and she was suitably glad when Yoki allowed her stay.

“You would do well to do so.” Carn yawned through her curiously emotionless smile, before clearing up her expression for the customary, How do ya do?. “I’m known as Carn.” In contrast to Yoki’s stuttering sentiments, Carn was cool, allowing the idea of the waves to move through her being just as they had formerly supported it. She had no idea what exactly prompted the girl’s constant movements; the way her paws danced circles in the sand in front of her, her tail belting her to the ground, but she ventured it was something to do with suppression. Oh, what delightful surprises was Yoki hiding? And why? Carn could handle it. Common sense told her not to antagonize the other wolf, but common sense was so boring.

Averse to Yoki’s misgivings, Carnival saw no foreboding clouds in the proximity of their conversation, and thought it as lovely and refreshing as the lake itself. A little blue, sure, just like the water, but that was all the fault of the somber tone of the other girl, and grew no lighter at her quip about about the peaceful aura of the lake. “It is the decision that is made at night that must be made up for in the light of day.” She tossed the ebon shadow an eye roll and shifted the magnificent mane at her shoulders, settling into a crouch. Yoki's slight shake of her fur did not alert Carn to any disturbance, but the scent that colored the air did. She watched with amusement Yoki’s deep inhale, and teasingly mirrored her flared nose to probe at the perfume. “Oh, do tell me about him.” A grin melted her sharp facial features, dangerous in its own right. “I’m not trying to threaten you hunny, but I can follow a scent for days. When I’m bored, there’s no telling what I might dig up...” or bury. “...so don’t be shy.”
