A fire burning in my heart

At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Apocalypse froze as he saw a wolf step out of the shadows and just stare at him. The wind shifted directions so that it was blowing his way. It was a female about his age. She had the same colored eyes as he had, gold. Apocalypse also observed that she was very thin, probably a fast runner. Her coat was a mix of colors, mostly blacks, browns and whites. He didn't feel that threatened by the female, seeing no signs of hostility he relaxed slightly. But not all the way because he had once been attacked by a wolf that showed no signs of hostility. His ears flicked back slightly as he decided to do something he hasn't done in a long time. "Hello." He said, staying where he was. He realized a while back that he was much bigger than most wolves and they find that threatening. He was still frozen in place when he introduced himself. Apocalypses heart beating fast as he hoped that he wouldn't get attacked, but in the back of his mind he somehow knew that he wasn't. "I'm Apocalypse." He said, his tone low and cautious. "Who are you?" He asked the female, ears twitching as he waited for a response.
