aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

There was a warm breeze settling into the pack lands. A warmth that wrapped around a lupine like a nice warm blanket. A bird flew overhead, the warm air washing in and out of the gaps in its feathers. The grass underfoot blew with the soft tone of the wind; a ruffle in a wolf’s pelt. Aurora Borealis pack lands were strong; hidden within the coniferous forest were the inhabitants of a strong pack that willed each other to do great things. One that should be feared in battle because each of the members are bound together by loyalty and something stronger. Each wolf had something to project and scream, however sometimes that was hard to find.

A black pelt flashed through the trees, her amber gaze piercing the silence. An aud flickered through the green, finding the lyrics of others on the wind. Her light paws traced over the dirt and grass, leaving the occasional print within the terra. She looked between the leaves, and decided to show herself in the sun. She was getting better with the sunlight; it used to be that she never saw the light of day, always living within the darkness as a shadow and nothing but. The warmth wrapped around her pelt, even standing in the shade as she was. The fae had started even to sleep through some nights in order to be awake when her pack mates were. Those were hard decisions for her, but she found that there were other nights that she could live in and grasp within her paws. The vixen lifted her cranium, a breeze pushing her ears back. She stood tall, eyes closed and listening to the silence as it engulfed her. She was meeting her mate after she had not see him in a long time. Magic had felt a new emotion for him that she had not felt in a long time, and she felt the longing inside of her start to grow. She opened her eyes, and started moving forward again.

Most of her time spent in Aurora had been for several events a reasons. The pack hunt was starting to get underway, and she was waiting for it to take off fully. Kalgalath was having troubles of his own, and she was standing behind him in case something happened. The fae looked forward, coming across a smaller clearing that hadn’t really been used for a while. She looked around, scenting the air in order to find traces of wolves past. Nothing scented different, so she sat her body in the back corner to think and wait. She had wondered what he was doing these days, and for a moment, she realized they hadn’t seen much of each other as a whole. They had a nice hunt several months ago, but after that, it really had not been anything; that needed to change. She raised her maw and barked something high, calling for Glitch. The black vixen waited, listening to the sounds of the world and letting the warmth tangle in her pelt.
