The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

Sin was dead as far as Halibel could tell. The thought depressed her since she had formed an attachment to the blind leader of Aurora Borealis in her time there. After learning of Sin's passing, Halibel had left the pack lands with the intention of hunting her loss away and returning. Well, she had gotten as far as the hunting part and never managed to convince herself to tread back to the pack lands. By now the scent of the lands was gone from her pelt and there was certainly someone else on the throne of the great kingdom. With a heavy sigh, Halibel looked at her reflection in the puddle that she had found within the Cavern of Secrets. Her image appeared distorted since there was a consistent drip from above, making ripples on the water's surface. Her ginger pelt and blue eyes were the only thing easily distinguishable. Beyond that, the water's little ripple waves reflected back an indistinct visage.

Why she was sitting in the Cavern of Secrets was...well a secret she mused to herself. She didn't want the world to see her sorrow and ache. She, a wolf who showed the world a strong outer shell and an air of flippancy; she who challenged everything in life and did her best to reject failure; she who now sat with a broken heart over the loss of a friend. What would others think of her for having fallen apart and run off, abandoning her duties to the pack? As that thought crossed her mind, she shrugged to herself and berated herself for focusing on it. The pack would carry on without her as it no doubt had, and they would likely not mourn her loss.

Glancing at the puddle once more, she decided that it would not be worth it to wallow, even in such a dark place that enticed others to do so. Instead, she turned her mind to something more constructive, like exploring the place. The dark walls were wet and smelled vaguely moldy to her, but after she had walked for a long enough time, the smell no longer bothered her. Finding that the darkness pressed all of her thoughts to the recesses of her mind, she felt more at ease while her instincts took over, scouring the caves for any sound or smell that might indicate danger. She turned a bend in the tunnel she was wandering in and stopped in her tracks as she gazed upon a cavern filled with a small pool. It reflected the meager light in the cave off the surface, casting darkened rainbows across the walls. She had never seen anything so beautiful before and found herself losing all focus as her eyes followed the patterns on the rocks.
