Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I peek at mom through my half lowered lids, hoping she can't tell that I'm not really sleeping. I'm ready to go out and explore, I'm just waiting for the right moment. Blast, she caught me! She looks right at me, telling me to watch over my siblings.I groan softly. Really? Viora and Sol can take care of themselves! they don't need me! Shifting my weight, I give a sulking nod, though I'm already making an escape plan. They're sleeping, why do I need to watch them? Psh, I have better things to do. I wait until she disappears and then I get up and tip toe over to the entrance. Looking around, I decide that the coast is clear. Yes! I take off out of the den, stumbling and tripping as I try to make my legs work. Growling in frustation, I take a tumble more than once, my light gray coat ending up looking more dirty than it should but oh well. That's what pups do, right? We get dirty. I glance back to make sure I'm not being followed but then I hear voices. Oh, what's this? A gathering. Curious, my good ear flickers, the right ear pointing off in another direction, not like it matters. I've already accepted that I'm only meant to hear out of one ear. Oh well. I take off toward the voices, tripping and stumbling a few more times before I reach the out skirts of the clearing. Peering through, I look at all the other wolves. Wow, there are so many!

My light blue eye sparkles like the ocean, my right eye more the brilliance of the sun but at least they both work right. My paws are getting so big; I think that I might actually turn out to be bigger than both my brother and sister. I'm going to be a fighter when I get older so I might as well start early. I've been training with Sol, even though mom glares at me when I bite too hard. Oh well, she'll get over it with time. Deciding to make new friends and sparring buddies, I step out into the clearing, heading toward the other male pups. I grin at them, my tail wagging as a play bark escapes my lips.

"Any game's okay, as long as sparring is involved."

My tail flicks daringly, my good ear flicking back toward my mother where I can already practically feel her eyes like daggers in my back. Okay, so I disobeyed. I'll take the punishment later.

"I'm Tristan."
