Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Their culture dictated certain things- many things, in fact. Vera had known what her 'mistake' was before she even parted her maw. But it wasn't a mistake to her- oh no, of course not. This demon was never one for mistakes. While some of her kind were strict sticklers, Vera was not one of them. At least not when it came to her wanderings. They were currently on no-mans land, somewhere that did not call for immediate display of dominance. Then again, they were demons, and such ran thick in their blood. But Vera was not one to much concern herself with a bit of faux pas. Instead, the situation earned a mental shrug from her. She was a Master at the art of timing, and all things came with good time.

The male seemed quite content in allowing the silence to stretch between them, as was common with demons. Some jsut loved to assert themselves in their unspoken language. It was almost enough to make her snort with her amusement, but she refrained. She wouldn't want to offend him too much, after all. He was still a canidate for her collection, afterall. His smirk and raised tail speak eons to her, but her own remains as it was- slightly raised above her rump, rather neutral in all its firey glory. Out of nowhere, a feminine scent is then assaulting Vera's senses. Glancing back behind her, her dark sea gaze takes in the form of yet another demon- fancy that. This one is also black as night, her marking but a small crimson starburst upon her brow. But unlike the male who is so obviously a loner, this newcomer reeks of pack. Perhaps the very same one her bonded and herself eventually planned to make their way to? Fancy that indeed.

She, too, pauses before speech, but not before Vera gives out a simple greeting, "Evening, stranger," before resuming her simple gaze. The other speaks, stating how three would bring down something much more delicious. This seems to excite the male, and has Vera subtly arching her brow. Her words had been lost on the both of them, then. Pity. Once again mentally shrugging to herself, dark sapphires turn to the male as he finally speaks, stating the rather plain as well as obvious. Nodding her skull down ever so slightly, she still takes in all of his words. Rather condscending fellow he seems to be. To each their own, of course. Yet after he pauses and seems to assess them, he;s speaking again. He offers her the hare, calling her 'Fire-tail.' This time, she didn't surpress the chuckle that bubbled up to spill across her dark lips. How truly amusing.

"Thanks, but no thanks. I had something much more.. delectable in mind." She's still chuckling to herself as she glances at the other female. "Two's company- three's a party." Allowing her own amused as well as playful grin to crack across her dark muzzle, she's more than eager to sustain that simple bloodlust rooted deep in her soul. "Shall we?" Without further prompt, the male is shoving off, all dominance and assertion as he does. Mr. Macho man, after all. Passing up the opportunity to roll her eyes, she gives one last fleeting, curious glance at the female before following after the dark boy. Such fun they would have, all together, if the two could keep from one anothers throats long enough. Vera knew just what demon culture dictated, and the both of them seemed more than a little obvious in their dominance. While she herself was proud as well as domineering, she had her own, special, subtle way of showing it. Of getting what she wanted. Smiling silently to herself, she kept her ears perked forward to catch any sound that might give way to their prey. After all- when hunting another predator, one had to always stay a step ahead. And that's just what she planned to do.

and full of terrors
