Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Alana was nearly as frightened by this situation as the puppy seemed to be. She had jumped back a pace when he moved suddenly, not expecting such an explosion of movement when she had barely been sure he was even alive. Her body had immediately returned to its usual submissive posture, emphasizing her small frame. Well, small in comparison to other adult wolves. She supposed that next to this puppy, she would seem as large as any adult. She hesitated, looking around briefly before turning her attention back to the pup.
“I’m sorry!” she said, trying to keep her voice as calm as possible. Hopefully she sounded more relaxed than she felt. She wasn’t prepared for this, but she knew how it was to be alone and frightened. She had felt that way many times herself. She hardly wanted to cause that in someone else. Surprise crossed her face as the puppy opened his eyes and met her gaze. She had never seen a wolf with two different colored eyes before. It was rather stunning. And, thankfully, it meant he was well enough to at least hold his head up, if not stand. Hopefully that meant he wouldn’t be dying in the next few minutes. “I didn’t mean to frighten you.”
She looked up as the other female joined them, her body relaxing from its submissive stance. Good, she didn’t have to worry that someone would blame her if this puppy wasn’t okay. She recognized the stranger from the pack meeting. They hadn’t spoken, but Alana knew this was the new alpha’s mate. That also meant that Alana was definitely not in charge now, something she was glad for. While she knew how to deal with fright and with young, she was no healer, which this puppy had seemed to initially need. Although since he was doing better, perhaps he only needed safety.
“I don’t know what happened to him or where he came from. I was simply walking the beach when I found him at the edge of the water, as if the sea had dropped him here.” Alana took a step back toward the puppy now, resuming a slightly more normal distance. Hopefully he would recognize that she meant no harm, she simply wanted to know if he was okay. She noticed that Rhoedias had leaned forward to examine him, much as she had.
“I am Alana. I saw you at the meeting your mate called, but I hadn’t had a chance to introduce myself,” I incline my head, slightly shy around her. “Do you think he’ll be alright?”
