Feeling the heat of the suns rays against her skin Claire randomly halted somewhere within the vast landscape of the meadows. Her slender nostrils expanded breathing in the crisp air as her ears flicked backwards listening to the rush of the falls just beyond the forest. The aureate image of her father played tricks with her mind especially with the sunlight and now was no different. Blonde eyelashes tickled the tops of her cheeks for a fleeting moment just as her emerald spheres clouded over as the memory of her father explaining the relationship he had with the sun and every aspect surrounding it.
The creases of wisdom against his paling coat stood out to Claire and to the right of them was the rushing waves racing each other to the golden shoreline. Her mother Claire could sense was near by always thrilled to have her daughter experience father daughter time yet never wandering to far in case she was wanted or needed. The thought made her smile as she could hear her fathers gentle tones explain his life stories. The birds just ahead of her now chirped the same way the ones back home did making her memory feel all the more real and in the moment. So much so that when the strange banshee approached her Claire thought it was her mother and turned her gaze towards her tensing to extended her muzzle in greeting when at the last moment noticing that this girl was not her mother or even her sister.
Startled Claire raised her apogee quickly and side stepped just as the girl spoke. Her voice was soft like silk against your pale skin. Claire stared at the equally pale mare noticing how her coat was close to her fathers own which made her feel homesick even more. Trying to gather herself Claire breathed out ”I’m sorry you startled me from a memory” looking down embarrassed Claire took a moment to breath in to calm her rattled nerves and looked back at the female. In that moment she realized just how relieved she was to have company. ”was it really that obvious that I was searching for company, or well needed some” smiling sadly Claire turned her auditives when she heard someone else approaching Claire still managed to keep her attention on the strange mare ”I’m new to the meadows honestly” her words barely left her mouth when the young brute came to them.
Turning her now shining green spheres with the the suns light in them Claire listened to his words who were soft much like the girl who had accompanied her first. He introduced himself as criminal intent which for Claire was strange to meet someone with two names instead of one. Raising her invisible brow Claire looked over from the aureate banshee to the stud ”I don’t mind your company, however I’m not the only one who’s opinion matters in this case” making eye contact with the female Claire smiled hoping she would realize that if she just wanted to talk to Claire, that Claire wouldn’t mind. She secretly was really hoping to make a friend, and perhaps even two.
