News 03.28.20

Get with me if you want to move up in rank. I'm going to change up the pack tasks for a little change of pace.

Congratulations to Adrian on her promotion to Governess. She will handle the guidance and teaching of our young pups in Iromar.

If you have a ^ next to your name, that means you're up for promotion so see me or send me a message on Discord so we can see where to move you. All others interested in specializing or getting a rank, let me know so we can figure out how to make that happen.

The pack board has been updated. If you wanted to remain a member, let me know either on here or Discord and I'll get you back on the board. Otherwise, let's have a thread!

I know I had a couple replies for the training with Spirane so I will be starting that thread soon. Stay tuned!

I am still working on an alliance with Diveen and Asteraia so stay tuned. If you have any information or would like to help, please let me know. If anyone has any ideas to promote activity within the pack, also, let me know. I am open for plots and such! Meanwhile, thank you all for your continued support of the pack.

Fucking demons. I'm about to escort myself out with Katsumi when another wolf appears in my way, demanding where I'm going as if he has any right. Immediately I step in front of Katsumi, shielding her should the wolf think to induce violence. My stance widens, hackles bristling instantly at his raging tone. I don't know what's happened but this wolf has certainly lost it and I'm not about to risk myself or my pack mate because of it. My ears flatten to my skull, lips curling back, a silent warning to get the fuck out of my way. I wait for him to continue, deciding that answering will only make the situation worse since I can't very well answer back politely, not now that the adrenaline's pumping and the protective instinct has kicked in. He screams out accusations and says I have something to answer for myself. I blink a few times. Is he serious or just mental? What the hell is he going on about? I keep my fangs gritted together, not wanting to incite any further drama by speaking the way I'd certainly speak back if I open my mouth. Has he not heard the apology I just gave his queen for accusing her or has everyone in this damn pack gone deaf from all the thick fog? I ask for justice when it's needed but when I see I'm wrong, I admit to it and bow my head as I should. Why the hell does he see it fit to get in my face? I'm sure I'll learn why in time so again, I stay silent. He can stare all he likes, all he'll see is a deep need to keep my pack and loved ones safe. At the moment, Katsumi is more on my mind than my own wellbeing since she's in the vicinity and I'm almost on the verge of telling her to run as fast as she can to Diveen to get out of the cross hairs this male is putting on me. I don't want her near if violence breaks out. He speaks riddles next, how we hold demons. I tilt my head, saying nothing, merely blinking as I wait.

He tells me the reason then, that Devil attacked his mate, Ruvindra. Now my eyes widen in shock. My father....I haven't seen him in Diveen in months, actually. Not since Fathom died on the borders. I figured he was off somewhere grieving. I've heard some rumors but that's all I figured they were...just rumors. I frown now, though I never take my eyes off him. I don't trust him, not with those growls escaping his lips. So it seems my father has turned back to his old ways. He is attackings wolves. Oh father... Next the male has the audacity to demand me not to leave until he gets his own justice. Not a hint of growl leaves my lips though of course that's not all I'd like to do right about now. Instead I hold my tongue and my anger back, though not without effort. I could care less about him knowing my name. I'd be offended in he didn't know the king of the pack whose been enemies with his own now almost since the beginning of new Moladian. He starts threatening then, saying he could take my face for justice. I move not a muscle at his words. Go ahead, talk. As long as that's all you do. When he threatens Isola next, I'm inches away from losing my cool. I could very well lunge forward and rip his face off right now for speaking such words about her, but no, that's beneath me. I won't stoop to his level. My eyes narrow, the only hint that he's hit a nerve. He goes so far as to threaten the pups of Diveen next. At this, my eyes almost show humor. Of course he would start at the strongest adversary and work his way down to the helpless children. Speaks volumes of his character. Shows what he's really made of.

He starts trying to insult me, asking if I agree, telling me that I will bring Devil or else. I almost look at Ishtar but I refuse to take my eyes off of him since he's the biggest threat at this moment. Does she let all her pack members make the demands? Perhaps she's entertained by their feral form of independence, the ignorant savagery of their minds. Like a caveman beating his chest and expecting nothing but respect for it. Paldor will get nothing of the sort from me, only a mild sense of caution and pity that he can't hold his own temper like an adult. He breaths on me like it'll convince me to do as he says. Bad breath? Sure. Enough to motivate me to listen to a child throwing a temper tantrum? No. He might have sound logic behind him if what he says is true but he's letting his anger get the best of him. He's talking like a 2 month old screaming for food. You want me to punish those responsible? Talk to me like an adult. Explain your reasoning like you've actually put some thought into it. Talk like you have a filter between your brain and your mouth. Did you see me rampaging into Iromar when Finley was taken from Isola? Did you see me demanding wolves brought to us when Vague was attacking Diveen wolves? No, we are nothing like Iromar. These differences of justice are what make us enemies. They believe in anything that leads to blood split. We believe in knowing all the facts and coming to a fair decision. We weigh our options. We think it out. We let our minds run us, not our emotions.

He could certainly try to rip my face off but I bet he wouldn't get much further than lunging before I'd use my weight to my advantage and have him on the ground at my mercy. He knows not what he's dealing with if he even thinks he can get away with something as thick as that. Perhaps he speaks so big because he has his alpha at my back and the pack behind her. If we on the Diveen borders, maybe he would have the mind to use his tongue. Maybe not. Maybe even then, he'd show his lack of etiquette. He might be thinking about the truce but that would only show either he wasn't present when Isola was here or he didn't pay attention. The truce was about stealing wolves from either pack and that's it. Ruvindra was never at our pack or I would know about it. He might think he's going to get what he wants simply because he demands it but that's not the way Diveen or I work. We don't get pushed around or we wouldn't have been around this long. I care not for his timing. I care only for my pack and my special ones.

Meanwhile Ishtar looks like she's as stubborn as the alpha before her, sighing and frowning at my suggestions. I only ask that she lets us know as soon as possible if this were to happen again so we don't have to go through this anymore and yet she treats me like a child. I may be younger than her, but that doesn't make me ignorant. She acts as if I'm throwing a temper tantrum and yet look at what her own pack produces? A wolf getting in an alpha's face and making demands and empty threats. Not smart at all. Diveen is ten times the size of Iromar. Any attack will be a suicide mission. Surely Ishtar knows this. Is she that willing to kill off her bloodline? Perhaps she'll just send her minions in, no one related by blood. Who am I to know how she thinks? I have defended my crown. I have defended my pack and seen that wolves get safely back to us. What has she done for her pack but make threats and sit on her throne? Who has she fought? Who has she helped? Mayhe she's the one with the paper crown. I'm at least trying to earn mine by more than words. I turn my eyes on her, willing to speak to her since she's at least got a lower tone.

"Just a suggestion."

It's all I say. I won't argue with her. That most certainly wasn't a lecture. It would have been more than a simple sentence if it was a lecture. I don't see reason to give her the whole story, how Katsumi went straight to her den to give birth when she got back so I didn't have time to get a story. I was giving her rest and time with her wrathful mate Sarin. It wasn't the time to barge in and demand answers. Perhaps that is her way, but not mine. I listen wordlessly as she speaks to Katsumi, stooping so low as to call me hot headed as if she's baiting me, trying to make me prove her right. Sorry, honey, you're going to have to try harder if you want to push my buttons. The rest of her sentence is meaningless to me. I'll leave that message for Katsumi to think on. If she wants to leave Diveen for a place like Iromar, more power to her. I can almost see Ishtat growing angry when I mention the messager thing again. Someone's got a thin hide. Maybe it's because she's a lone alpha now. Perhaps the responsibilities are making her crabby or something. Even as Paldor rants, I can sense the tension rising and I know it has to do with the queen behind me. I don't even have to look to sense where she's going with this. Sure, she won't be happy to hear about Ruvindra. I wouldn't expect her to. She'll probably agree with everything Paldor has to say. She's as cruel hearted to want deaths of the innocent pups. She'll most likely want the death of my father. Apparently she doesn't really know my father if she thinks it would be that easy to kill him. I flick an ear back as her cold voice reaches me. I can feel her glare from here and yet it's slicking off my sides like water on a duck. Now she's making demands same as Paldor. I guess the females here beat their chests and slap sticks on the ground to earn respect too.

At her threats, my first response, the one I want to give anyway, is to laugh out loud, right in her face. Of course, I'm just strong enough to hold it all in. But really? Seriously? Does she expect me to crumble to the ground and whimper for mercy? Again, Diveen is ten times the size of Iromar. We will crush them if they think to stand against us. They have no allies. Who will help them against the largest pack in Moladian? She is not so smart at all. I say not a word until she lunges. Suddenly I coil and spring, placing myself as a shield between her and Katsumi, at the same time, nudging up against my pack mate, telling her with my body language and a quick look to run and run now. If Paldor thinks to go after her, I'll deal with him. The same for Ishtar. I curl my own lips back now, meeting her eye to eye and only after Katsumi is clear of danger do I open my mouth, keeping one ear flicked on Paldor at all times.

"Your threats are empty as the air you breath, Ishtar. You will send your wolves to their death. Diveen will decide the punishment for Devil. I did not ask for your son when he brought my wolf here. I asked that you punish him as the pack should when their wolf has done wrong. You will do the same for Diveen or rue the day you turned Moladian against you and any who follow. I do not fear you or your kind and neither does my pack. You ask that I get the whole story. Now I ask that you do the same without this blind rage you see fit to throw in my face after calling me hot headed. Such a hypocrite, Ishtar."

My words done for now, I start away from Iromar, though never once do I take an eye or ear off of her in case she's foolish enough to try me. Go ahead. That move will be your last, Bloodmouth.

PACK RANKS

Monarch
Pretty simple, Alpha of Iromar. Ultimate authority. What I say, goes.

The 'Co-Alpha'. He is her equal and has all the same authorities as she does. He is be respected and can take challenges and block steals.
Deputy
The Beta of Iromar. The most trusted wolf under the Alpha. Has all the same authorities of the Monarch in her absence. Second in command. Can block steals and take challenges.
Council
The advisor to the Monarch. One who's wisdom is often sought in matters of politics and war. Not necessarily an elder but someone the Monarch looks up to.

The head hunter of Iromar. Shows the most skill in hunting and providing for the pack. Tasked with leading pack hunts and teaching the pups of the pack at designated times. Trains the hunters and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Medic
The head healer of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine. Tasked with checking on the Monarch/Deputy after a challenge and also keeping up with mothers around birthing time. Trains the healers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Envoy
The head diplomat in Iromar. Skilled in matters of politics and conversation. Intelligent and witty, this wolf keeps the pack together as one while reaching out to potential allies for support. Council is their direct supervisor. Trains the diplomats and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Governess
The guardian of offspring in Iromar. Skilled as a warrior and alert as a scout, this wolf is tasked with probably one of the most important jobs in Iromar, protecting the future of the pack and Moladian. They can watch the litter while the parents are off doing tasks, hunting, or just enjoying some quiet time. Can serve as guides for the pups, like having a full time guardian. Trains the teachers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Snoop
The head spy in Iromar. Skilled in maneuverability and blending in, this wolf must be a shadow when called upon. Tasked with finding out information about other packs or wolves when called upon, this wolf must be quick as well as witty, able to make anyone believe anything. Also serves as a thief when the need arises. Trains the spies and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Chronicler
The head story teller of Iromar. This wolf has done their research on all things Iromar and Moladian. They can give a good history lesson or spin a tale on demand when the younger minds call for distraction. Able to captivate an audience. May even help with speeches for the Monarch when necessary. No one to train but the pups or even adults of Iromar when they have questions or curiosity about the past. This wolf may even be called upon by the Council at times. Can block steals.
Soothsayer
The seer of Iromar. This is a special rank made specifically for a wolf with "the sight." Consider her an advisor/spy of sorts for the alpha and rest of the pack. She/he can gather intel from outside or supernatural forces. You don't have to believe in the magic of this ability for any wolf with this rank will be respected as a ranked member of the pack. Can block steals.
Warriors- Members of the Iromar army. Skilled in combat and overseen by the Trooper.
Hunters- Providers for Iromar. Skilled in scavenging and hunting.
Healers- Doctors of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine for those in need.

Children-The pups of Iromar. To be cherished as they are precious for the future of the land. Shape them and mold them into something we can all be proud of.
Members- Overall pack members of Iromar. Not specialized in a particular field yet but just as important to the population.
