At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Ninkou Latora was just deciding to return home after being gone for the longest stretch she had ever been. She hadn't been as big an adventurer as her brothers, however after Sin's death, it seemed the entire family had needed to get away. Even her mother, which was unusual since everyone knew how much Akina loved the pack lands. To be honest Tora wasn't entirely certain that she would be living in Aurora Borealis for that much longer. It wasn't just Sin's death either, she just felt like finding something new. Maybe it was just a result of growing up. Of course the young femme would want to remain somewhat close, at least within an easy visiting distance. And she wanted to speak with her mother before making any final decisions. She may be grown now, but she knew her mother well enough to know moving without letting her know would hurt her.

The multicolored female noticed that the smell of an oncoming storm was in the air, and she decided to break at the next landmark to wait for it to pass. By the time she arrived at the lake there were already heavy clouds in the sky and she had seen a few distant flashes of lightning. Near one of the exits of Leisure Lake was a small group of trees that with their overlapping branches made a small canopy, and Tora decided it could serve as her umbrella during the storm. As rain began to sprinkle against her body, she picked up her pace to a jog until she was beneath the cover of the trees. The rain was cold, and it actually felt good against her skin since the summer had brought high temperatures to Blossom Forest. The young femme was tempted to stay out and let the cold rain completely soak her and get a complete cool down, however the wind that accompanied the weather proved to be a little to nippy for her liking. She sheltered herself into the canopy as well as she could, sitting beside one of the tall trees, and as the rain began to pelt the ground at more storm-like pace she decided to scan her chocolate eyes across the beach.

The scene before her was empty of wolves, for the most part. She noticed a couple wolves running towards one of the trails and a small group huddling together beneath another canopy along the tree line. Those sites were to be expected and didn't hold her attention for very long because she continued looking around the area. She then came across the form of a dark gent near the water, and her gaze lingered on him for a moment longer than the others. Why would he be out in the middle of the storm? Ninkou could sympathize with getting a certain kind of pleasure out of sitting out in the rain, especially when it had been so hot the last several days, however she couldn't imagine that the wind felt good. It had picked up even more since she'd taken cover and was a biting cold if it hit you in the wrong way. She bit her bottom lip, going back and forth over the idea of reaching out to the male. Perhaps he wasn't aware that there was cover nearby? While she would prefer remaining in her place, staying mostly out of the storm, she soon realized she was too much like her mother to not offer the male a place out of the storm. A wicked crash of thunder shook the area, and she sighed as she stood up and walked out into the storm. As she drew closer she continued to observe the male, and when she was about halfway to him, Tora realized that he looked familiar. ...where do I know you from... Her walking had slowed a little as she strained her thoughts, filing through her brain to figure it out. She finally made it to him and decided to figure it out later. Before she began speaking, she noticed several serious wounds across his body and she winced a little.

“Excuse me, do you-”

She cut off in the middle of her sentence after suddenly realizing where she knew him from.

“KONG!? It's me, Ninkou Latora, Akina's daughter! What happened, are you ok? Is my mother ok?”

The words poured out of her mouth as fast as the questions came to her mind. It came to her attention that the storm was starting to pick up even more. The rain was coming down in sheets and the drops almost hurt with how fast they were hitting her. Thunder was rolling and she was sure it would crack again soon. The wind was also whipping harder and howling loudly in her ears. She shouted above it.

“Do you want to come rest up in the trees until the storm passes, please? I need to know what happened!”

Tora gestured with her skull towards the canopy that she had been sheltered under, hoping he would come along.
