News - SUMMER

Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.

We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.

As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

Whoever said a brisk walk would do you good- lied, like seriously lied. I was walking, fairly briskly I suppose and I hardly felt good. In fact I felt perhaps slightly more irritated then I had when I’d left, if only for the fact I now had to walk all the way back. Snorting I slowed my pace into something more of a stroll, long limbs easily carrying the snow of my pelt through the fields of sun and gold that had once been my own so long ago, before the sky fell, before the red dust of my Trenus combined with the jungle of Devils Paracon and melted together in heat and flames. I suppose Diveen is rather pleasant, wide open spaces, fields of gold, cliffs, a ravine and more water then I hardly care to think on. Yet…..some part of myself never did recover, some part of myself still stood atop the highest cliff in Diveen and….wanted for what was gone, for a land and a place I’d known so well all those years ago. For a time when my mate still lived, when my infant sons still played in my shadow and Eris still watched from afar. I suppose this is what happens when you get old, all the joy of nostalgia to tear and chew at the mind. Some wounds just don’t heal, some wounds bleed to this day and though I have taken a new mate, one I quite simply adore there will always be a…..place for Zeivah, for the two sons I lost and the daughter I left behind. I suppose this is my punishment for a life lived far to good and with far more power then one creature should surely ever possess. It seems fitting I suppose, living still, watching all around me die. They said it was a sin to ever care and I understand now, I suppose. Loving hurts far more then any fang.

Snorting I tossed the thoughts away, old, tired form walking onward still as I merely turned my thoughts to that which required my attention. I hardly know if the rumours against Devil are true and yet even so I find such things turning within my mind. Surely my Brother would not have done these things. I knew well how the death of his daughter affected him and yet still I believed more of him then some blood-filled rampage, violet eyes narrowed in disbelief before the scent of another drifted upon the wind, muzzle lifted to taste at the air before I abruptly changed my direction, quite intent on discovering what this….child was doing lingering within Diveen. Honestly, border patrol is hardly my job, I hardly care for such meaningless dribble as this, yet, I find myself inclined to benevolence today, apparently, leaping easily upward, higher into the hills and trees before the violet of my gaze fell upon the boy of light and dark. He was young to be sure, either lost or stupid, probably both. Breeding has hardly improved in the years since the sky fell and I am inclined to believe the future of Moladion may well be doomed when I am no longer here to keep adding superior blood to it and things like….that, continue to still be produced. Alright he wasn’t that bad, but I am old and agitated and honestly I may have further slipped into decline as far as politeness goes with the coming of my seventeenth summer. I allowed my paws to press more firmly upon the earth, announcing my presence behind him less the stupid creature topple over the edge of the ravine, pausing momentarily a few strides back.

Had he not heard me? Hell, he was thick. One paw lifted up, deliberately snapping a twig in an effort to gain his attention. Honestly it has been a damn long time since someone has decided to ignore myself, Father of the Angel Line, King of Trenus, King of Moladion, Father of Alphas and really if I could think of any more titles I’ll add them in later. My handsome head tilted slightly to the side, tattered left ear flicking before I adjusted my path, coming instead from the side in some effort to allow the boy to see me since he clearly had difficulty listening, head and tail raising with my rank and position. Elder or not, I still stood above all in this pack as Father of it’s Queen and ruling power, even so though, I managed something of a more amicable look, having no desire to actually give the child a heart attack before I abruptly took a seat to the side of him, lip arching slightly upwards into a smirk of sorts.

“Well, go on then, enlighten me- what are you doing? This better be a good story by the way, if I walked up here for no reason I will be showing you a very quick way down.”

Actually, that was a rather good way to get rid of intruders, wasn’t it? Shove them off the edge.
