aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Her stomach rumbled, complaining about its emptiness, and Hellene decided to search for any body of water that may lay inside of the land. She didn’t terribly have an urge to leave Aurora Borealis, especially with her tendency to be antisocial or downright rude to those she didn’t know well. Though she knew that they had their own private entrance to Leisure Lake, it wasn’t optimum for fishing. The waters were too still and the fish tended to rest safe and soundly at the bottom of the deep liquid. Instead, she decided to search the terra for streams or rivers. She had heard there were but a few, and that they were well hidden, but it was a good day to explore her new . The sky was cloudy and it was cold, but she would easily be able to dry off if she traveled to the clearing in the middle of the terra. Even without a sun to bathe in, if she laid upon the large boulder that sat in the center the wind would dry her pelt out in no time. It was a gloomy day and therefore there would be nothing better to do. She set into an easy gait, gently stretching out her muscles as she traveled so as to not need to stop and stretch cold muscles, which could, in itself, cause injury.

Leila had shown her some of the territory and she used that almost as the reverse form of a map – she started out by searching the places that Leila had not shown to her. Luck seemed to be on her side for the first area that she had not traveled in before held a river. She had come upon it only because she knew what to look for. The birds chirping overhead had quieted all of a sudden and in the dead silence she had heard the gentle lapping of the water against the shore, and the gentle gurgle as the stream ran its course. But as her amber gaze searched, she still saw no river – for tall trees had lain upon its edge, and the grass was overgrown, shrouding the river – clearly no large herbivores had travelled this way in a while…

Hellene broke through the grass carefully, not knowing how far she would have to travel and she didn’t want to startle anything that may be hiding on the either side of the reeds. But her approach was far from silent – her steps were poorly chosen and each pawfall landed with a crunch onto the reeds. Not that it mattered much. At the thought of fishing, her maw began to salivate…it had been a good long while since she had gone fishing and she relished the tasty treat. She hoped the river would be well-stocked so that she could bring back a healthy meal for the two pups she had adopted. Though she wanted to teach them how to fish, it would be fruitless if the pups ended up not having a taste for the meat.

Right before she was about to enter the water and take up her fishing stance, she noticed a fae just a few steps away from her and smiled, her tail wagging slightly. “Hi Magic. Congratulations on your new rank!
