The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Watch Me Come Undone

The days have been quiet but that won't last for long. It never does. Soon enough Kershov will be calling a meeting or sending some poor fool to their death. Perhaps another foolish pack wolf will happen upon our borders. Though hopefully not pregnant this time. That brought back too many harsh memories, memories I did not wish to delve into. I grit my fangs as I move silently through the pack lands, checking on everything and everyone. I move stealthily by the dens where other wolves are sleeping, daring not to peer in on them, only catching a whiff of a recent perfume to let me know that they're home. I move on, only pausing at one den. Marx. I close my eyes briefly, inhaling his thick cologne like it gives me life, cause in way, it does. He was a knight in dark armor that day the river flooded but he handled it like a pro, at the suffering of his own flesh. I tended to him as best I could but I'm no healer. He will probably have scars, not that I mind.

I move toward the borders when I smell someone new. My ears prick forward, tail twitching behind me restlessly. My head lifts in dominance as I come within sight of the female, noting her emotionless gray eyes and the way her ears are folded back as if its natural for them to be that way. Interesting. She might fit in just right here. My two toned eyes, one emerald green, the other electric blue, measure her up as I come forward, circling her figure as close as one might dare, as if testing to see if she'll strike out in uncertainty or hold her ground like a good warrior should. Once I've made my round, I sit down before her and speak in smooth as honey lyics.

"Best flop over and show some skin, honey. We like obedience in Abendrot. You can tell me your name once you're down there."
