During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

so famously undone

Shocked. Was that the term to use? Perhaps not. Alleria should have known he was to say something along those lines. After all, he was a man of mystery and charm. His words were always a delicious sound to her ears, every word, happy or sad, excited the heart deep inside her core.
But.... this?

How was she to make of this now that she heard it? How was she to foretell what the future, and that blasted woman Fate, were to do next?
Alleria simply swallowed her drying throat, and she finally had no words in reply. Instead of speaking, her mind did the talking but not to Serris. It spoke to her.

"If you doubt me and my intentions so much, then perhaps I should be off..."

His words were a distant echo in her brain, throbbing and pulsing. It was a soft thought, a soft memory, but it was there nonetheless. She picked it out from the sentence he uttered just moments ago to think upon it.

Did she doubt him? Is that her reason for such fear?

Alleria, for the second time in her life, was in fear.
She was worried with so many things, one of which was the ebony brute leaving her side. This hurtful emotion Love, it did things to her. Made her feel scared, vulnerable, and exposed. Her layers of protection stripped back to reveal the hidden truth, and that truth spoke three words for only a single man.
...But was she willing to bring up the confidence she could summon from the depths of her heart? The confidence she had mustered up and presented before him just a while ago?

Would she? ...could she?

Serris was indeed, not mistaken, for she needed to think. Have some time away from him so her heart and mind could stop their ferocious bickering and settle on one thing. When the alpha was around, her heart would throb painfully yet happily, while her mind would race and pound telling her different from her emotions.

She needed time away from the ebony king, just so she could make up her mind. With this idea in her brain, she simply rose her head higher and turned around, only to pad away into the darkness of her mind.
The surrounding landscape was replaced with the fire of the forest she called home. Alleria thought of her pack, and the screams they emitted as they died along with the trees. She shuddered, and shook her skull quickly to rid herself of the memory.

She needed to tell herself that she wasn't alone any longer. She had her pack, which she sought out to be acquainted with later, but most of all, she had her Alpha. Her beloved ebony king. He was a dark devil in disguise beneath that pelt and beneath those strong bones...but he was also her angel. The angel who picked her up off the ground, and took into their loving arms, and bestowed upon her the one thing she wanted most.

Love.

Serris gave her love. And protection. And need.

How had she not seen it before? It was in her selfish ways, that she didn't notice how he gazed at her, nor did she consider taking in the thought that maybe, just maybe, his confession was genuine. That he really did feel something for her. There was a static and spark that ran through her body and hummed in her forbidden places. Her cursed body wanted him. Heck, her entire being, heart, and soul, wanted this man.

She wanted to fight for him, to protect him against the evil in their lives. And yet, she knew he was the brute. He was the masculine hero that would save her, the damsel in distress. But she so desperately wanted to caress him, to keep him out of harm's way.

Alleria hadn't been one to take risks, but when it came to Serris, she felt that maybe Fate had given her to him for a purpose. That she should take a risk for him... for isn't love a fragile thing, something that could shatter ones being? Of course it is. But it also rewarded you with something that could defy death.

The girl made her mind. She would give this budding romance a chance. Alleria felt the tug on the sides of her lips indicating a smile, but she wasn't able to show it. For she hadn't realized it sooner, and it's already too late.

Alleria had walked off the pack lands, and into the forest with the demons. Being a warrior, a hunter, and a skilled assassin, she should have nothing to fear... right?

Wrong. Oh so very wrong.

(OOC: Okie dokie ^____^ sooo, I was thinking that maybe Alleria goes into heat, she gets injured, and serri-berry and his sexiness will go and be le awesome hero and stuff. dunnooo. ahah)
