Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The coarse rush of the waves lapping against the shore drowned out the last fading echoes of the brothers’ calls. In the very few moments the trio had before the alpha appeared, Zaqar glanced to his left at Lillith and Saqr. He thought he saw a certain fondness in the female’s eyes, though he could have been imagining it. The boy gave her a small smile before briefly studying his brother. The older brother seemed as eager as the younger to prove himself, and Zaqar respected that. He was young, but he understood that imprinting was uncontrollable and to turn his back on the woman from Diveen must be costing Saqr much effort.

Upon the arrival of the large silvered male, Zaqar forgot these thoughts and focused his eager attention upon the alpha. His ears were forward for only a moment before he remembered his place and they tilted back as his head lowered respectfully and he studied the sandy earth beneath their paws. There were a few soft noises coming from behind the Iromar wolves, but he didn’t dare turn away to examine the source. He was nervous as it was and was not about to face a reprimand from his superiors.

Instead, as Lillith introduced herself he looked up just in time to see her glance back at the brothers. Zaqar nodded his greeting to the alpha of the seaside pack. “I am Zaqar.” Ishtar might have scolded him for not including his lineage, but the idea of revealing that he was the chosen heir of a different pack was difficult for him to fathom. He was not the boastful sort; at least, not yet. Perhaps one day, far from now, he would have something to actually boast about; something that was of his own doing rather than his parents’.

Lillith’s last statement resulted in a sideways glance from the yearling. It puzzled him why his mother would want such an alliance, for she often spoke scornfully of the other packs. Still, he could not claim to know every small detail of the pack’s workings; after all, he was just a year old.
