The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Winn Dixie
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The mottled gray and white vixen slowly and carefully stalked the hare, paws gently moving on the earth. Her blue portals were trained on the target as she steadily grew closer. Without any hesitation, Winn Dixie leapt forward not too high off the ground and pinned the hare down with her forepaws. The lass could keep the squirming shape down only for so long, so she reached her muzzle down. Opening her kissers to reveal stained ivories, she swiftly bit down of the rabbit's neck. It quickly grew limp in her jaws. Winn was about to start gulping down the warm meat when she was aware of a presence. The lass's auds swiveling quickly followed by her head, blue pools seeing the russet coat of Aerten. Winn Dixie knew of the wolves of Abendrot, but had never truly made any friends within the pack.
Winn Dixie dropped the hare gently on the ground, dipping her head in greeting. Hello, Aerten. The vixen was well ware of the reek of Saw Tooth within the Abendrot territory, but word had gotten to her about the pregnant female. The lass could only guess what had happened when her nares caught scent of another wolf. Kershov. Her orbs flicked to the undergrowth around the two females, however, Winn Dixie felt it be best for Kershov to reveal himself. Her sapphire gaze flicked back to Aerten. Winn decided it would be best just to finish her kill later on. Have you heard news of the Saw Tooth wolves? I have heard rumors that Moth herself has traveled within our borders. She was nervous to speak in front of the alpha, the only time she'd truly spoken to him was when she had been accepted by him to the pack. Winn Dixie had come looking for a family, but had also wanted to be a spy. Her dainty form would support the idea, but she was not going to say anything. Kershov would put her where needed, she would be happy nonetheless. The vixen loved Abendrot; it was a dangerous family to mess with. The mottled wolf waited for Aerten to reply.
