Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I knew she was mad at me which was why I avoided her like the plague. The way she cut those beautiful eyes at me sliced yet melted my heart. Did she know how pretty she was when she was ticked? Would I tell her? Wait no I would not dare let those words slip past my mouth for fear that she would take an ear off. I was already blind, did I need to make it worse?

Quietly I slink into the den, careful not to wake what appeared to be a sleeping Rhoe and Raven. Pausing I watch them, the way their chest rises slowly with each breath and the soft snore of Raven. The boy hated when I teased him about it but it was sort of cute. I take another moment when suddenly something didn’t feel right. The little warning bells within my head began to toll and if I was smart I would have exited the den right there but no I was too tired. Curling my massive body around Rhoe I allow my eyes to drift shut and it was then that it hit me. Rhoe’s breathing was too fast to be sleeping. At that moment I feel her tap me, her voice lilting in my ear as she utters the words no male likes to hear. She needed to talk. Oh damn.

Rising I look after her, taking a moment to enjoy the way her hips roll as she exits the den. She was as dangerous as a viper despite her sweet exterior and I loved it. Yet the moment is cut too short as darkness swallows her lithe form and reluctantly I follow. She does not stop and so I follow her, head low and very submissive. Funny how she had the power to bring out such a soft side in me, especially sinnce I knew she was angry with me. Oh yeah I could be all macho but even I knew a happy mate meant a smooth life.

Silence engulfs us, well almost silence if you did not count the numerous night time sounds and the booming crashing of the waves. Since being in my home even that is static background noise and as such I barely notice it. One thing I notice however is the piercing gleam in my mate’s eyes as I settle beside her looking over at the sea. I have noticed that she has spent much time in a den beside ours but I did not pry. Like I said earlier I have been avoiding her. ”Yes?” I query tentatively, wary of what is to come.
