News - SUMMER

Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.

We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.

As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

I frowned slightly as another spot of dust appeared on my wayward child, jaws parting to once more smooth at her fur, working with loving care to remove the imperfection from her gleaming pelt. Hmmm, it would seem she has inherited her Mothers unusual….sheen, a gift of her mother’s blood and one indeed I feel is rather an improvement and really, considering how exceptional my blood already is, to have an improvement upon it is a rare and beautiful thing. Rather like my daughter. I make no secret of my affection for my girls. That is not to say I have no love for my sons, I do, there is simply something…..exquisite, however, about my baby girls. I am quite of the opinion that of all the females within Moladion, those born of myself may well be the most lovely of all and really, from the occasional walk I take in the free lands it would seem the beauty of my children is a much appreciated thing throughout this land. I smirked easily at the thought of my daughters, violet eyes turned gently once more to my Neveah, my youngest daughter, the smallest, darkest gem upon the gleaming crown that is my progeny. I have missed this. I have missed playing Father though never will I admit to it, never will I allow the image of the Assassin King to die so entirely as to have talk of my- emotion getting out. In moments like these however, when I am alone, when it is just myself and her, my little girl- I may be entirely as I please, shower her entirely with the affection and adoration she is deserving of. I may have handed my crown to Isola, yet I am still her sire, still above her and Neveah, young as she is, still stands as a Princess of Diveen and truly she should be treated as such, adored and loved as is befitting her. Alright, so I have a high opinion of my children, shoot me.

I was pleased to turn away from this topic of Saintly, having no desire, right now to be reminded of the darkness and death that lingered within the den, wishing only to bask in the heated glow of the sun and the youth and life of the girl before me. I have spent countless hours with Saintly and indeed I know well to remember each one of those passing hours for the boy will not see the summer, yet, that does not mean I can turn from Neveah nor allow her to be un-spoiled as her siblings before her. No. There is always time for my daughter and I was pleased to be in her company today, even if it would seem I am to be challenged to a dual of greatness as well as subject to having my appendages chewed upon. Hmm, children really don’t change. I chuckled at her words, violet eyes rolling in easy humour. Of course, how dare I not consider that she would be the greatest later? I smirked, pleased at my child’s obvious genius. Perhaps she will be greater, then again, I am rather beyond exceptional, even so, I see no problem in setting the bar high. Let her be great, let her try and surpass me, I damn hope she does. I snorted in mild protest as she clamoured over my snowy form, charcoal pelt blending into my own as I allowed this momentary indignation, the girl nipping at my good ear, the appendage flicked time and again out of her way before I gently toppled her back to earth with a huff of amusement. The girl growled and bowed as I snapped teasingly at one ear, my own teasing growl rumbling within my throat before she spoke. What happened to my left ear? I smirked.

“Oh no, I can’t tell you that, Baby Girl. That is a terrifying story and I don’t think your brave enough. When you become great enough to hear it, perhaps I will tell it to you then.”

I set forth the challenge easily, waiting for her to protest that indeed she was brave enough to hear such a story, a more child-friendly version already prepared, after all, the real story is known only by two wolves save for myself and considering one no longer lives such a tale is only known now by, well, Ava and myself and I hardly think it is one suitable for a puppy. Perhaps, one day, I will teach her of my trademark injury. We’ll see. I grinned easily as my promise of a secret seemed to delight her, lifting to my paws, moving to step forward and grasp her scruff, lifting my baby girl easily before moving to walk further into Diveen, breaking into an easy lope- heading for the high peak cliff and throne my daughter had claimed. It may not be Trenus, it may not have the same grandeur or height, but it was still a throne and every single one of my children has sat beside me on this great height. Every one. Neveah will be no different. I leapt lightly, easily, my muscle pleased with this release, climbing higher and higher into the cliffs and heights of Diveen until I reached the peak I sought, towering above the pack land. I moved to place Neveah gently before me, allowing her a moment to take in the place we sat, so high, so vast, the land streaking out below us in every direction, mountains and cliffs reaching for the sky where the blue heavens ran rampant above and the earth was flat and gold below.

“Now darling, don’t go to close to the edge, but look around. This is the Throne of DIveen, a place for Kings and Queens, for rulers- for Angels, baby girl. We are born to be better, to always desire to climb higher. Remember this Neveah, remember what it is like to sit on top of the world because one day, if you are bold enough to take it. It may well all be yours. You are my daughter, an Angel, a Princess of Diveen and never forget it.”
