Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.
Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

I’m not physically damaged… If that’s what you’re asking. Her breathing is raspy and harsh, and Kahlan wonders if the teens words are true. Then again, as she glances around, she realizes that it is likely due to snow that is picking up speed and heaviness, even as they breath. But I’m definitely not okay. Kahlan moves a few steps closer to the teen, offering support as she stands, tremoring from the cold. A blanket of clumped snow falls off of her pelt. I’m Rara Belleza. I hate to be a bother really. Kahlan cocks her head to the side and observes the fae, looking for signs of any injuries. “You are no bother to me. But it is nice to meet you, Rara Belleza. I am Kahlan.” You’re a pack wolf aren’t you? Kahlan smiles at her and nods. “Aye, that I am. How did you know?” Kahlan moves to the teen’s side, her maternal instincts kicking in. The teen was slight, and in this temperature could likely get a cold, or the flu, or pneumonia, or hypothermia. There were any number of likely illnesses that could be caused by prolonged exposure to extreme colds. Gently, she nuzzles against the teen, hoping that the fae would allow her to show her warmth. “We should get down from this mountain top, dear one. You might get sick if you are not already, and on the way down, you could tell me about your ails. I may be able to help you. Have you a home to go to?” Kahlan smiles at her in a friendly manner, hoping to convince her to leave the chilled Misty Mountain. |
