The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

He seemed...off. More so than when she had happened upon him as he fell on his face. Given the blood on his coat, she assumed his "off behavior" was probably due to something similar to Eric's condition, but where Eric had finesse and confidence, this wolf, Soren he had called himself, was introverted and anxious, nervous even. She found his attitude rather...well, it really pulled her interest and she was enjoying pestering him, even if it seemed to be simply making his responses even more erratic and panicked. Her mismatched gaze watched his lips move as he answered her, picking up on the shivering and shaking. He seemed super charged for bolting but they both knew he could hardly manage walking quickly, let alone a proper lope. He was the proverbial mouse caught beneath the cat's paw. Perhaps it was cruel of Cade to keep him, but honestly, this was the first time she ever felt powerful. Sure Eric liked to pretend that she had any measure of control over him, but Cade knew that was a falsehood, a facade Eric toyed with in public. In private, he liked to push her around. of course, that was after she provoked him. It may be stupid on her part to provoke such a beast, but she got a thrill out of it. This encounter was ten times that since she knew she really did hold the power and her quivering, fearful prey admitted his knowledge of this truth by cowering before her. Her ideas of power vanished from thought when he had the gall to claim she was being rude by threatening his life.

She laughed. If she had thought for even one second that he would stay put and allow her to drop to the ground to catch her breath, she surely would have. Instead, she plopped down on her butt and tossed a paw over her muzzle, trying to convince herself to stop laughing long enough to comment. She was so caught up in laughing that she had absolutely no manner of evading his weight as he faltered in yet another pointless attempt to scamper away. He toppled forward on her, ramming into her shoulder and completely knocking Cade on her back since she was unprepared to balance herself and that of another's weight. Landing with a loud "oomph," the queen shoved with her fore paws, pressing them against Soron's chest until she had pushed him to the side. Getting to her feet and shaking her ivory coat out, she began to take count of the bruising that was forming on her pale skin, beneath her pigment free fur. Huffing with annoyance, she turned to the male and blurted out,

"Now who's the rude one?! You're so stupidly afraid that you keep trying to run off when you obviously can't manage. Is it going to take breaking a bone for you to get it through your thick skull? Besides, now you've gone and tripped over the border idiot. Guess you'll have to stay now."

And at that, she stuck her tongue out in a mocking way. She felt like she had won the right to keep him. Even if he was mentally unstable. It's not like Cade didn't have a few of those hanging around already. What's one more? Pulling her tongue back in, she looked at him a little closer before dipping her head down by his ear and whispering to him.

"No one's afraid to get bloody around here and we don't ask questions, so don't feel obligated to tell. I just like to harass others."
