Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

Well I don’t know. I’ve been in a pack before so I guess I just know one when I see one. Kahlan nods – it is either that or the fae had caught onto the pack’s scent upon her pelt. She had thought that the snow had washed it away, but apparently not. As the timberess moved to the teenager’s side, she was glad that the faeling seemed to be comforted. As Kahlan suggested moving off the mountain, it seemed to jolt some sense into the girl. Most likely I’m going to come down with something nasty after this harsh weather. Kahlan gave the girl a slightly sympathetic grin as they started their travel away from the peak. “If I have anything to say about it, you will be just fine. I am a member of the Saw Tooth pack and Moth has been giving me some lessons in herblore – I’ll try to think something up to find you once we get down.” Assuming that they got down safely. As their paws led them down the slippery slope, it seemed increasingly less likely that they could make it down the mountain. The storm had begun to whip its way around the peak the way a wave would wrap around a lifeboat.

I guess it started when I came to Blossom. I went and joined Spring Grounds. It was amazing. I love the pack life. Well I decided to leave the pack lands. So I could get me something to eat. I got attacked. And after a while I found out that I was pregnant. With some stranger’s pup. Well I went back to the pack. And word got out that I was pregnant. And I was looked at by some wolves as if I was trash. The timberess paused her step to look at Rara Belleza. “Dear girl, I am so sorry for what they have done to you. What happened… there was nothing you could have done and there was nothing wrong with you. There ISN’T anything wrong with you.” Kahlan offered her a nuzzle to soothe the girl, but it lasted just a moment. As she refocused her attention on their surroundings, she realized that there was no way that they could continue. They had managed to make it halfway down, but they needed to change their tactics. I hated him while I was there. But after I left I realized I couldn’t anymore. But when he finally came, he wasn’t breathing. I couldn’t save him. Another pang of sympathy rang through Kahlan’s body, but she shook her head. She needed to focus.

Uh… Dear. Hmm… well we need to start digging.” It was almost impossible to see, not only because of how thick the snow was, but because of how swift the wind was. It was pelting them and buffeting them around, blowing the iced precipitation into their eyes. “Dig, girl, or we will be buried and will die.” Kahlan set her paws to the deeply piled snow and started scraping it away. Slowly, a whole began to form, but she didn’t pause to see whether the fae was helping alongside her.
