News - SUMMER

Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.

We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.

As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

In my darker moments, I did not hear the voice of the boy who followed me in the rain. I did not hear of the dangers of which he called, I heard only the bright yellow sounds of rain splashing on the ground, and the deep red tone of his voice. I felt chills from the red that filled my mind, but I connected it to nothing as I rampaged throughout the pack land. I almost feel like some sort of ghost was following me, an invisible creature of some sort that was out to haunt my mind. No, I was not right in this moment, with my fears of losing those I loved trying to swallow me whole. The rain was but little knives stabbing into my body, a taunt from the spirits above. My mind is twisted up in myself, the sounds and colors taking over my mind to a point of insanity...and the boy of black and red was only making it worse. If only he knew.

His voice of red kept slithering in through the cascade of rain, and I grit my teeth at how bright it is right when I halt. My wet hackles are raised, and I can feel something close to me. Something dark and evil, I am sure. I am blinded by my fears, my ice blue eyes seeing nothing yet still everything at once. I cannot stop myself. I cannot stop my cream colored muzzle from whipping around as Guardian almost runs into me. I only see his dark form, his blackness coming towards me. My jaws wildly snap at him as he slides past, a colorful snarls lashing out of my mouth at him, at the shadow of red who followed me in the rain. As far as I am concerned in my wild state, he is a threat. The amount of time that passes to me, is still completely irrelevant. I do not notice it, I only feel the tingle of frozen fear holding onto my tense limbs. I am low to the ground, ready to spring. It is a low attack position, one that usually occurs from fear, which should be quite apparent with my tail tucked between my legs. The deep red of the black boy's voice fills the air again, and my snarl continues until I taste the name of Achilles in my mouth. It is only then that my snarls dissipates for a moment, and my eyes seem a little less insane for a moment.

Of course, it is only for a moment. The shadow of red talks once again, and my reaction is to snarl at how he takes over my senses in this moment. He is not a comforting source, but a source of threat. A thing that chased me in my fear, something that I didn't want near me. My body shakes, and after a small moment, I decide to protect myself. I decide to strike the black boy, my cream colored legs beginning to move forward like a viper out for the kill. My ice blue eyes are wide, the smell of my own sweat and fear fills the air around me, only strengthened by the wetness that covers my fur. My jaws part as I reach out to grasp onto Guardian's leg. It is vicious my lunge, but I find myself stopping, my jaws never actually grasping onto the red legs of the shadow. It is the voice that sings me to sleep. It is the voice that soothes me when I wish to cry. It stops my attack on him, and I stand low to the ground, my jaws still parted as my ice blue eyes search for him.

He was right there, so close, and yet, my mind wasn't there, not completely. He was there but he was not. My eyes desperately search for him, and when they see him I am somewhat...confused. He is wet, soaked from the rain, and I do not completely recognize him. He is a stranger, that steals to voice of my Achilles. The fear comes back into my face, the aggression returns as my fangs whip out of my lips at him, the strange thing coming towards me. I take a step back, and as he closes in on me, I lash out. My teeth aim to come in contact with his chest, and yet, my bite is not a harsh one. It is not the kind that would puncture flesh, although it may still hurt. It becomes all too clear though, once his scent fills my nostrils, that this may really be him. After contact, my chocolate ears lay flat, seeming to realize my mistake. I am so confused, so scared, and a wet Achilles is not something that I am used to. My growls and snarls begin to mix in with whines and whimpers as he wraps his head around me. His scent envelops me. It is something comfortable, familiar, when all the visual cues seem to lie to me. I loosen any grip I have on him, leaning into Achilles. I am still not calm, no. I shake and I tremble. I feel a bit better though, feeling him next to me, at least, I am pretty sure it is him.

The approach of the young girl does not help much in this moment, and Sage only strikes fear in my heart once again. I bare my fangs at her as she gets close. I do not realize it is his sister, and it is only when Baylee speaks when my fangs disappear once again. I lean in further to Achilles, burying my face into his fur and whining. I am too stressed for this, to be around everyone but him, and maybe Baylee. No words come from my mouth, for my mind does not think in words right now. I can only think of how Isola may not come home, like Mother did not come home. I do not think anyone else would understand my fears, would understand how much it hurts to have the most important part of one self die. It may be a year since she died, my Mother, but I am still not recovered. Today, I still suffer, while I try to suffocate myself in the scent of someone familiar, soaking wet.
