Typically if Alcide were to greet a newcomer to Spirane that did not show at least a fraction of submittance he would forcibly display his dominance until it was received. But in Godric’s case, his mirrored stature was permitted with ease, for it is clear to Alcide that it is not a challenge of his leadership. Rather, it is an acknowledgement of his position and a meeting of rights. As they embrace one another, Alcide is met with a bark of elation from Godric. Extending to nip his brother’s neck he feels his ear being grabbed and is unable to stomach the slight growl that rumbles in his chest as they disengage. He had become slightly overprotective of his appendages, not particularly adherent to the idea of losing or maiming another one. When Godric rocks backwards into a sitting position, Alcide’s tail falls from its curled state and his limbs relax. He flexes his toes and takes a single step backwards before allowing his own posterior to meet the stone floor of the ledge they perch upon. A chuckle emanates from his chest at the sarcastic reference to his marred face. “Comes with the territory,” he replies simply with a wink of his right eye. And that was the truth of the matter. Alcide was truly an alpha now, taking up the stead in MoonGlow’s absence. The thought tears at his chest, the aching feeling that consumes him whenever he thinks of her. And he thinks of her constantly, for she is the holder of his soul, the captor of his heart. A small, half hearted sigh escapes his lips and he does his best to keep his focus solely upon his brother, for this was an exciting time and their reunion should not be hindered by the matters of an aching heart. Godric’s statement of intent to remain here elicits a wagging motion from Alcide’s tail. “I suppose we could spare a bit of space to let your big arse stick around for a while,” he says, words laced thick with sarcasm. In reality, Alcide could not express his gratitude at Godric’s arrival. True, he trusted the other members of Spirane and called each and every one of them his family, but there was a certain bond between blood brothers that was stronger than any other. (Bar imprinting, of course.) Eyes narrowed, his next statement was a bit more hardened, clearly far more serious than their conversation up to this point. “Tell me, Brother, are you fit to serve in active duty if you truly seek to remain within Spirane as pack?” By looking at him, it was clear that he was physically fit for the job. But physicallity was not the only requirement to be met for the position which Alcide foresaw his brother filling. A sound mind that was ready for the challenge of leadership was required as well. For Alcide could foresee no better wolf to stand at his right hand and serve as his general than Godric.  |

The Bells Dyrim - The Speaker: Lead diplomat and is often times sent out to maintain good relations with allied packs. Charged with educating the Ambassadors in diplomatic ways. Astarael - The Weeper: The commander and lead warrior of the pack. Charged with teaching the Berserkers the art of battle. Clayr - The Seer: Charged with the pack's health, and in teaching the Shiners and those who wish to pursue the art of healing. Kibeth - The Walker: The leader of the Guard. They are the foremost line of defense, charged with securing the borders and bringing pertinent information from within and without the pack to the appropriate wolf. They also lead the Outriders. Ranna - The Sleeper: Assists the queen in guarding from theft as well as advising her of news and gossip from the whole of Moladion. Charged with teaching the Mages about theft, secret keeping, and overall sneakiness. Allowed to make and block steals. Mosrael - The Waker: Caretaker and storyteller of the pack, also the head pupsitter. Often times this wolf will look after the pack's youth and educate them of Spirane and Moladion's history. Leads the Remembrancers in pup watching. Charter - The Power: The master hunter of the pack. Leads and organizes all hunts and teaches the Falconers the art of the hunt. The Classes Berserkers: Warriors and hunters of the pack. Falconers: The pack hunters Mages: Thieves and secret keepers of the pack. Allowed to make and block steals. Ambassadors: Diplomats of the pack. Shiners: Healers of the pack. Outriders: The pack scouts who bring all news of happenings across Moladion back. Remembrancers: Wolves of a kind nature who look after the younger wolves of the pack. These wolves may wish to learn more about healing, but this is not a requirement. Bairns: The young pups of the pack Amateurs: Youth of the pack still finding their place Kinfolk: The general populance of the pack Elders: Respected retirees who still offer wisdom and insight |
