It has been awhile since I have had the pleasure of spending time with my dear friend. I have heard that she delivered more children last season and that they are well. Of course that warms my heart for now even I have my own pup to look after. Raven is all that a father could ask for, curious yet discerning, strong yet humble. He is growing up to be a fine lad and I could not be prouder. Had my daughter survived I am sure that she would have been majestic just like her mother. My heart stops for a moment when I think about my daughter yet I know that she did not suffer and at this moment is cradled within the massive paws of my mother and father. I could not ask for a better place for her. Turning from one of the fresh water pools I make my way to border patrol. My pace is simple and leisurely as I enjoy the quiet solitude. My pack is low in numbers and I am contemplating ways to increase them. The season of mating is almost upon us again within a season or two and with it much more responsibility. I need to take an active role if I plan to get anything done before the cold weather hits. My mind carefully goes through the roster of adults when a rather delectable and familiar scent assaults me. Her image is formulated within my mind’s eye and a smile etches its way across my face like water during a drought. It is refreshing and stimulating. Andromeda. It is not long before her call reaches my ears but I am already on the way, her scent a beacon to me as I weave between the trees that make up the tree line. The sun is warm upon my back as I leap a log, thundering down the various deer paths until finally she is near. Wait not quite, ah yes there she is. My form slows as I break free from the cumbersome branches. She awaits me patiently as a rather splendid butterfly flutters around the flowers that grow by her paws. She has filled out rather nicely and her dark pelt gleams of good health. Good, that means the spoiled prince had found time to take care of her. A broad grin is plastered upon my face as I walk to greet her. If she allows I will attempt to lay my head on her shoulder in a brotherly hug of sorts before settling down before her. ”Andro! What brings you to Glorall! I hope nothing has happened? You look well! The kids? Oh where are my manners.” I pause to take a breath. I was like a excited pup, it is not everyday a friend stops to visit. ”Welcome! Would you like a tour?” Tail wags as I look about my home, the fact that I was proud ever evident.
