CORPORATE WORLD INFO! A NICE EVENT! IP: 69.171.163.218 Posted on 8/20/2013 at 14:50:59 by ERIC
Are you a member of a company team? Local union team? Law enforcement team? Hospital team? Military team?
The USSSA "Battle of the Softball Businesses" (USSSA Corporate/Industrial World Tournament) may be just the fun time you are looking for!
Wal-Mart has softball players and softball teams! So does Kroger and Meijer and dozens of other retailers. FedEx drivers play softball. Automakers, like Chrysler and Ford have company teams. Police and firefighters are corporate teams. Armed Forces teams are "corporate-qualified! Unions, like Plumbers & Pipefitters and Electrical Workers have teams! Hospitals and universities have softball players and teams!
It's all just a matter of getting organized. Form your own team and come join us! (Remember: you are permitted to add three non-affiliated players to your company team.)
The 2013 USSSA Corporate/Industrial World Tournament is the weekend after Labor Day in Dayton, Ohio. Conveniently located at the intersection of I-75 and I-70, this event is easy to get to and easy to get back home from.
With multiple categories of play at different skill levels, including men's open, comp & rec, women's, and mixed/co-ed, this weekend after Labor Day might be as much fun as a softball team can have.
Why?
Because we will have a "tournament within a tournament".for team members to compete with each other in additional areas, like free throw shooting, corn hole, closest-to-the-pin, bowling, and miniature golf.
We'll have a complementary pizza party for players on Saturday night (in conjunction with the bowling, miniature golf, free throw shooting competitions).
In addition to the softball tournament, which provides two games of round robin play on Saturday ad double elimination on Sunday.we will make extra awards for individual/team skills and award an overall "Battle of the Softball Businesses" champion award, which might be won by any of the teams in any of the categories. (We're likely to let the umpires compete in this, too!)
This will be a blast and may be as much fun as you will have all season long.
