News - SUMMER

Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.

We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.

As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

The Prodigy

Pan is content to pause in his flood of words only momentarily, providing the barest window of opportunity for the older, darker male to offer his own words before the quickness of his ever busy mind precedes to take command once more. Fortunately, the other male seems to take his chance, as it were, his own words slower, calmer and holding a wisdom of sorts as he offers them after giving a sigh of sorts that sees Pan from. Indus had done that often, before he died, before he and Justice, his Mother and Father, had been lost within the flames of the falling sky. Indus had never understood his son, tried so hard to hush him, telling him often to keep his words to himself. Pan had tried, he had tried so hard to be what his Father wanted, yet he never could, not really. He could not help what he was, nor the utter brilliance of his mind, or his ability to see and understand what others so often miss. He was not the son his sire wanted, he was not the warrior his Mother desired, he was, well, far more inclined to academic pursuits, despite the obvious power and strength within his gleaming golden form. He had only ever wanted Indus to be proud, for his Mother to accept him entirely. He had been determined too, to prove them wrong, to outlive his families curse, to make something of himself and show his parents and siblings he could excel in whatever he chose. Yet, fate is entirely more cruel then it pretends. He loved his family, loved them dearly and he lost them all, every single one. He lost them before he was a year old, they died believing him to simply be the puppy with his head in the clouds, with dreams bigger then capabilities. Indus and Justice would never see their son grow and some part of Pan……still hurts. They died being- disappointed in him and from that he never recovered. It is the sigh that seems to silence him, at least for a moment as Yojimbo speaks, the other males words bringing a frown of sorts to his beautiful features.

“You speak as one who does not correctly appreciate the use of contradictory statements. Your words contradict themselves. You cannot find language, language is not a physical being. What you mean to say is that you have come to understand language and yet truly from the examples you seem content to display I hold some doubt to that truth of such a statement. Language is not a river, it does not ebb and flow, a river may hold such characteristics and unless you are making a point of comparing a well-structured, flowing sentence with a river, then your entire statement is pointless in it’s entirety. I do not believe I have a closed mind, I am considerably well prepared to extend my own knowledge in all areas, I understand what you are attempting to convey, I am merely stating that you could have better projected it were you actually more considerate with you choice of words. I have however, noted where you are lacking and applied it to my learning, I find that way others speak to be a fascinating thing and correct or not, you are, at least, unique.”

Another smile graces his handsome young features, black eyes lifting to the other males, meeting his words with the same easy confidence. Pan, if anything, is entirely assured of himself and perhaps he is naive to think this way, to assert his own certainty in this manner, yet, the boy is very rarely wrong and indeed, even if he is given to offer incorrect information it is rarer still that any other is either willing to correct him, let alone understand the sentence enough to offer any further insight. He is confident in himself, in his own knowledge. After all, it is all he has left to be confident in, the more social side of his life in such disarray that he is content to spend more and more time alone with only his own mind for company. He has grown tired of the foolishness of others, of suffering the irritation of thick-headed wolves who seem content to do no more then howl and bark and chase their own tails like insolent children. It has been a very long time since anyone has been capable of carrying out a conversation of true meaning with the gorgeous boy of copper and gold and truly, in this manner, he finds something likeable about Yojimbo, despite the others lack in understanding. He is, Pan has decided, considerably more advanced then half of his own pack and incorrect or not, his mind so eagerly seizes upon the challenge of the conversation, the first few flashes of delight finding place in his gaze. He is bored, so terribly bored and finally someone worthwhile has come along.

Pan continues his speech only moments later, announcing his reasons for arriving upon the border of Diveen today as his tail waves a moment in the first indication of the truth of his personality, the happy, pleasant creature he is beneath this façade of indifference and disillusion with the world in general. He is a boy with so very, very much to offer and yet, so very few are willing to give him the time of day. He is above them, so far above that it seems they simply do not see. Perhaps, Silvertongue is the first to understand the young male needs something more. His easy grin faltered slightly as Yojimbo seemed to take it upon himself to stare, edging closer and closer still, holding his blue eyes against the bizarre, fathomless black of Pan’s own. They are his Mothers eyes, an exact replica of the Queen of Trenus before the rise of Angels. He shifted slightly, unwilling to yield his position and yet slightly agitated by the older males desire to press within his space. Did he have some sort of condition? He hardly seemed to even blink. When Yojimbo finally spoke, Pan was given to study him quietly a moment before managing to slow his words slightly in response, his mind having seized upon one facet of his speech long enough to assess it more thoroughly. You have suffered. How is it that this male would know such a thing? Eyes certainly so not speak and Pan accepts only factual understanding, the idea of star-talkers or prophets is one he refuses to buy into, suspicion obvious within his features and voice

“Why do you continue to use so many metaphors? We have all suffered loss, all of us who survived the sky fall have suffered loss, I am no different to any other in that regard. I lost my Mother, my Father and all fifteen of my siblings. I am the last one and yet long ago another prophesied this demise. Some years before my birth, it is said, the Angel King cursed my family for the supposed sins of my Mother against his blood. He told my parents that none of their children would live to see adulthood and every single one of my siblings, save myself, died or was killed before the age of four. I don’t believe in curses though, I find them illogical yet this evidence is rather obscure, what are your thoughts?”

He passes over the death of his entire family as if he speaks of the weather, refusing to allow any emotion to taint his words, forcing it down and deeper within himself as he always does. He speaks facts and nothing more, facts alone, not emotion, never. Yojimbo spoke then of the more pressing matter at hand, the politics he is assured he already knows of, Yojimbo confirming much of what his mind had already deduced.

“Boneclaw, Mother of Silvertongue was once aligned to Heyel. A fascinating topic truly. You see, Solevion, the oldest of all packs within Moladion held no allies, Boneclaw was particular about whom she trusted, whom she saw value in and never before had the mountain pack seen fit to offer it’s services to another, yet, Heyel and Boneclaw were given to find a peace, an understanding, the alliance of Trenus and Solevion one that survived until the fall of the sky. I believe the bonds of blood and family run deeply, Isola and Silver, I believe hold much more in common then they realise, their parents held a great peace, I believe they desire the same thing and that such an alliance would be highly favourable. Iromar, however, has also approached Glorall with an offer. To whom would Glorall be better to offer it’s services, in your opinion?”

Pack history is a topic Pan adores, one he begun to learn at six months of age and truly, the young historian knows far more then any truly realise, he has simply never been asked…..
