Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Hel.

He'd been chased out of Moladion by Hel. She had come for him as he had watched Valkyrie, and she had tried to sweep him away with her. What logical thing had there been to do other than to run? Oh, he had tried to fight it but such fighting caused him... discomfort, a strange soul sickness and so he had run. He had run until he had reached the towering cliffs and merciless shores of his homeland, where he had sought his own Seer for advice. Of course they had none to provide when it came to such a foreign sickness and once more, he had been sent out to discover the route of such a thing. Why hadn't they sent another? Did they believe him to be strong enough to do such a thing or had they given up on him? Had they decided to send him away with his sickness so that none of his kind could catch such a thing? He suspected the latter and though reluctant, he had obliged.

And so he had come back. He had fought through summer, extending his journey some half a season in fact but finally he had made it. The moment his paws had crossed into the land he had known, he felt the sickness within him subside as if Hel had very well cast a spell upon the entirety of the land. She was certainly no Freyja and during his journey he often awoke from the dream of Hel's visitation - three days, she'd say, and she would clasp him in her arms. It was an ominous thing, one that had perhaps prolonged his journey even furthermore but... there was one that hastened it, forced him onward. Valkyrie, she was, and she was as far as he was concerned still trapped in the world of Moladion. Like he, she was so far from home in a strange place, one that seemed most unkind to the foreigners. Had their prey not escaped? Had the heat not been almost unbearable? Were the wolves so strange and was the soul sickness that cursed them both dangerous? He had to find her.

He had begun his search through the outer rim, attempting to back track where they had last been together but alas, luck evaded him. Without much more to go on, for her scent ran stale, he gave in to the fact that he would need to search elsewhere and much more intently at that. With a haste seldom found in the male, he had taken off into the deeper regions of the crater. He soon found himself in terrain much more familiar to him - stones and boulders littered the earth, towering over him at times. Though as bulky as he were, his grace was within navigating the steep inclines and with surprising ease, he made his way on top of the stone labyrinth. From there, he could see the crater stretch on from the river beneath - in the distance stood Spirane, a mountain he had pondered visiting for so long and yet, the wind carried with it no scent of Valkyrie and her brilliant white form could not be sighted anywhere.

"Dåren!"

Fool, for that is what he was. He shouted to himself, biting down on his teeth and flattening his ears. His voice rang out in an echo, silencing the birds for a moment as he stood atop his stone throne.

"Du var tåpelig å gå tilbake."

You were a fool to return. He knew it was true though he had tried to deny it to himself. Perhaps he would have been best off to deny his pack and fall to their teeth, or disappear into the wilds. Here, atop the rocks, he was too vulnerable. His soul ached for Hel and yet he desired nothing more than to see Valkyrie once more. Perhaps some part of him craved the company of another - somebody to remove the thought of either of them from him completely. It was only a matter of time before he was found.
