Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I don't want to be close to the expanse of water anymore, I have seen too many monsters today, and one almost ate me! Okay, maybe I am stretching the truth, but that seal did look like he wanted to gobble me up. I race down the beach, away from that awful beast. A dark spot on the sand ahead catches my attention and I find my curiosity raising. Why would someone lay in the sticky sand? I slow my pace, moving at a trot toward the mass of fur, realizing that it was actually a wolf. I stop, not knowing if this was exactly safe to go approaching random bloody wolves on the doorstep to the ocean. ”Um...Hi...you weren't attacked by that big monster were you? The black and white one?” I move closer slowly, taking my time to assess the injuries that I can see. She is bleeding pretty bad, especially given the fact that the sand under her is all red. I can even make out the path she took to bring herself here. I look out to the ocean, knowing that the salt in the water would help clean the wounds, and take the sand out of them. That hurts, I'm sure.

My ears go flat as I finally make my decision. I will help her, but only because I don't need Sinopa asking me why there is a hurt wolf on our beach that I didn't help. I don't want anyone disappointed in me, not ever again. I move closer to her, clearing my throat to try and make my voice less....mousy, though I fail at that. ”Do you want help? Those look pretty deep...” I motion to the back of her neck, to the ones that bleed so much they clump her fur together. She is staying oddly still, maybe she doesn't want my help, but...I can't just let her like...die. My mind recoils at the thought of just sitting idly by and watching another wolf perish, I hate not knowing enough, and this is only proving to me that I am on the right path. Why else would a wounded wolf just so happen to wander up on the beach at the same time I was being chased by a monster?
