I know Daenerys by name and I think that's actually tremendously cool. I mean, she is the princess of Spirane and also my Aunty - which is kind of weird because she's so, you know, young - but either way. It's not luck or because I'm related that I know her by name and that she's come to play with me... it's because I am totally awesome. She has obviously seen how great I am at running and dancing about on my stupid big paws and has decided that she wants a piece of me. I really can't blame her - can you? It's a little concerning that she doesn't move when I pounce at her and instead, she flops on over like the rabbits mum brings home. She can bat at me all she likes but right now, I totally defeated a princess and I want everyone to know. Apparently so does she and as she yips, I break into a chorus of excited yips too - mum, dad, Alcide, everyone, come see! Of course everyone is too slow and soon enough, she and I are off again at break neck speed.

It seems like forever that I am winning and as I sprint, I am laughing the whole time though mother says my smile is almost wicked looking. Even if I am so fast and springy, as mother says, my legs are only so good for so long. Really, though, I hate it and I want Dany to run out of energy long before me. Mother says I will be better at running when I am bigger but I want to be the best now! I can feel myself getting slower... and suddenly, she is somehow in front of me. I'm so baffled, so confused! How? Can she fly? Mother lied! I'm not an Angel - she is! She's ahead of me and I am just staring, slack jawed and wide eyed. I'm not going to admit it but she is fast... faster than me. Totally unfair and if that is the perk of being a princess, so then be it - I want to be Princess Ramiel.

"Dany, look out! You're about to trip!"

You know what I did there? I bluffed. There's nothing in front of her. There's nothing anywhere but if it works, I hope she slows down. If she slows down, I am going to rush forward with every last drop of my energy and tackle into her with my big dumb paws! Of course, after that energy is gone I am totally drained, panting like a goof ball and yet, I refuse to drool on myself. Instead, I sprawl out in the grass, chest heavy and paws batting lightly at her in my final moments of victory. Just... give me a minute and I'll be up and running again all over. Until then, I want to pretend like we are Queen and, uh, Advisor. Because I can't be King, right?

"Dany, when you're Queen, can we do this still? Can I still try be faster than you? Because I think that'd be cool."

I'm hopeful but... I don't know! Maybe being a Queen means you can't play and I can't be her friend. That'd really suck. I don't just want to be her nephew, I want to be her friend. Maybe even her best friend if she wants!
