Loki rose from where he was, hidden away just on the borders of Iromar. The air here was humid, even in winter, providing an uncomfortable cold that seeped through the fur into the skin. He couldn’t believe he was contemplating joining the pack that lived here of all places. And yet, he rose his head and howled, calling for the alpha of these lands. He was still close to Jezebeth’s den, her scent still around him. Hopefully that would mark him as friend. Or as Jezebeth’s pet, since that was what she seemed to see him as. Well, being a pet would work for now, he supposed. It would offer a sort of protection, at least until he was fully recovered.


He was still in a fair amount of pain from his fight with the two wolves. Judging from the scents mixed with those that had fought in the war, the two had been from Diveen, the enemy of Iromar. Convenient really, for Loki at least. More of a reason to continue to lurk – for he wasn’t hiding, of course – in these lands. He still wished to know the names of those who had attacked him. Perhaps this alpha might be able to supply those answers.


He stood for a few moments more after making his call, and then sat down. He was no longer forced to sit in an awkward position, his leg had healed enough for that, but whatever the female had torn in his back leg ached horribly whenever he stood. His only other severe impediment was his ribs. They must have been either badly cracked or mildly broken. He was able to breathe regularly now without pain, but god forbid he yawned. The only other scars still visible were evident by how his coat was uneven on his back and tail, still missing entirely from his left shoulder. His shoulder still had a scab remaining, clinging stubbornly to the skin. That wound had been deep, still aching, though that pain paled in comparison to his leg. Still, all of his injuries were improving –albeit quite a bit more slowly than he would have liked. Still, he felt it was time to stop simply taking up space in these lands and move to actually live her. Besides, it would give him more of an opportunity to lash out against those who had attacked him.

He lifted his nose slightly in the air, hoping that he would catch the alpha's scent before she arrived. If he was able to, he would stand, rather than meet her sitting down. He didn't want to appear like he was lazy or good for nothing. He wasn't lazy. Good for nothing depended entirely on your point of view. He was certainly good for trouble.
