Many substances have been injected as fillers into the cheek and lower eyelids . Some of these such as silicone can cause harm and has been outlawed. I suspect you had been given silicone as this tends to increase in size over time due to low grade inflammation. With legal fillers such as hyaluronic acid the area injected tends to reduce in size due to absorption of the substance and further more if the injected area is unsatisfactory it can be removed by injecting an enzyme called hyaulronase.
